Arsenal v Chelsea Tips: Andy Robson’s 16/1 Bet Builder for Sunday’s clash

Andy Robson's got five value picks for Sunday's Emirates showdown.

Sunday sees Arsenal taking on Chelsea in the Premier League in a London derby at the Emirates.

The Gunners are second but 15 points behind leaders Liverpool, meaning Mikel Arteta’s men are realistically aiming to finish in the top two. We certainly think the title race is over, having already paid out on Arne Slot’s side to win the title.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are fourth but they have a host of teams breathing down their necks in the race for the Champions League spots.

So, who will come out on top on Sunday?

Andy Robson is back to deliver his verdict and his player picks are covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, which means that if your man is substituted, the pick carries over to his replacement.

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Pedro Neto 2+ Shots

Pedro Neto has impressed since moving to a more central role in recent weeks, managing four shots in his first game playing up front against Aston Villa and following that performance with a goal and assist against struggling Southampton.

Neto hasn’t been able to make the most of his brilliant speed and dribbling ability in Enzo Maresca’s system so far because Maresca prefers his wingers to be very wide, which doesn’t really suit Neto. Arsenal like to push their line quite high when in forward areas which will give Neto space to run into at fire a few shots at goal. He is averaging 2.12 shots per 90 in the Premier League and had three shots against Arsenal in the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge earlier this season. His average is respectable now, but looks set to increase in his new role up top.

Wesley Fofana 1+ Fouls Committed

Fofana returned to the Chelsea starting lineup in their 1-0 win over his former side, Leicester. He’s been on the sidelines for a few months after picking up an injury and returns to fitness at a crucial moment in the season, with Chelsea battling to secure a Champions League spot for next term

He committed a foul on his return and was a regular sinner prior to his injury, committing 20 fouls across 13 Premier League outings (1.65 per 90). He looks set to line up against Leandro Trossard here who has been fouled at least once in each of his last five Premier League matches. Trossard is averaging 1.59 fouls won per 90 across the season as a whole. Myles Lewis-Skelly will also be a tricky customer for Fofana to deal with, he has won 21 fouls across his 13 appearances in the Premier League this term (2.79 per 90).

Moises Caicedo to be Shown a Card

Despite the inconsistencies that have affected Chelsea recently, Caicedo’s performances have stayed solid in helping Chelsea break up play and move the ball through the thirds. In the reverse fixtures, he made more tackles than any other player, committed two fouls and was fouled on one occasion. Caicedo is averaging 2.09 fouls committed per 90 across his 28 Premier League appearances this season.

He has picked up two yellow cards across his last five appearances and recently went through a run of four games in which he was cautioned in each. Caicedo has received nine yellow cards in total this term, while no side has collected more cautions in the Premier League than the Blues this season (76).

Arsenal Corner Match Bet

Arsenal are averaging 7.92 corners per game at home in the Premier League this season and conceding just 1.85 – by far the lowest in the Premier League on home territory.

A notable 19.2% of their goals in the Premier League have come from set pieces, underlining their importance to Mikel Arteta’s side. They have placed an even bigger emphasis on winning corners over recent months given their injuries in attacking areas. Arsenal have only scored three goals across their last four Premier League matches, they are far from fluent in attack from open play and may need to lean on their set piece qualities to break through Chelsea here.

Enzo Fernandez 2+ Fouls Won

Enzo Fernandez has been moved into a more advanced role in the Chelsea midfield over recent months, which has seen his fouls won numbers increase. He is winning 1.63 fouls per 90 in the league this term. Fernandez has been fouled at least once in each of his last five Premier League appearances, he’s also been fouled two times or more in four of these games.

Fernandez will be up against Thomas Partey, who committed two fouls in the initial meeting between these sides at Stamford Bridge and is averaging 1.46 fouls committed per 90 across his 27 Premier League games this term.
