As the 2024/25 Premier League reaches what is very much the crunch and we get into single-digit games remaining, Paddy’s pal Mark Lawrenson is coming on strong as that finish line gets closer and closer.
Once again the Soccer Soothsayer has read the signs and tested which way the footballing winds are blowing to produce his Premier League predictions over the coming days. Let’s see what the future holds…

Saturday 3pm: Everton v West Ham
I’m going to go for Everton to win this one. The David Moyes revolution continues apace and he’ll be desperate to win this. Maybe West Ham’s own mini revival has already ended. Everton 2-1 West Ham.
Saturday 3pm: Ipswich v Nott’m Forest
It looking very bleak for Ipswich now which is a bit surprising because they’ve kind of looked alright in most games. Nottingham Forest will still be on cloud nine after beating Manchester City last weekend so they should back that up here. Ipswich 1-2 Nottingham Forest.
Saturday 3pm: Man City v Brighton
Two good teams in what should be a very good match from a technical point of view. Brighton are on a great run but Manchester City at home should be tough for anybody. They might just cancel each other out, you know. Manchester City 1-1 Brighton.
Saturday 3pm: Southampton v Wolves
Matheus Cunha is still out suspended and that really, really hurts Wolves in terms of creating anything. I thought Southampton were very good at Anfield, they looked a completely different team to the one we see most weekends but they just can’t sustain anything. We get a shock every weekend so I might just go for Southampton to squeak this if they can replicate anything like last weekend. Southampton 2-1 Wolves.
Saturday 5.30pm: Bournemouth v Brentford
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Bournemouth have just stalled a little and they’ve not won any of their last three. Maybe they’re starting to run out of puff. Brentford have been up and down but I have a feeling they’ll take it. Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford.
Sunday 1.30pm: Arsenal v Chelsea
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Arsenal’s goal-scoring is still a concern but they seem to be popping up from all over a little bit, Declan Rice has a couple in their last two games. Chelsea just snuck past Leicester which, despite winning, isn’t really much of a result. Arsenal 2-0 Chelsea.
Sunday 1.30pm: Fulham v Spurs
Fulham are doing great and I think they’ll win this. I think that Craven Cottage pitch is too small for Tottenham to play how they want to and, obviously, Fulham will know exactly what they’re doing on home soil. Fulham 2-0 Spurs.
Sunday 7pm: Leicester v Man Utd
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Manchester United are an ongoing shambles but you feel like even they will go to Leicester and win seeing the state they’re in. United have already beaten Leicester three times this season and I can’t see that changing. Leicester 1-2 Manchester United.
