As the 2024/25 Premier League reaches what is very much the crunch and we get into single-digit games remaining, Paddy’s pal Mark Lawrenson is coming on strong as that finish line gets closer and closer.
Once again the Soccer Soothsayer has read the signs and tested which way the footballing winds are blowing to produce his Premier League predictions over the coming days. Let’s see what the future holds…

Saturday 12:30pm: Nott’m Forest v Man City
I’m going to go for a Manchester City away win. I think they’re getting it together on a much more regular basis now. I think it will be a close one, though. Nottingham Forest 1-2 Manchester City.
Saturday 3pm: Brighton v Fulham
This is two good sides who play good football so it should be a good game. Both are hoping to make it into Europe next year so they’ll be going for it. This is another tough one to call but I’ll come down on the side of Brighton. Brighton 2-0 Fulham.
Saturday 3pm: Crystal Palace v Ipswich
Obviously Crystal Palace are going to be without Jean-Philippe Mateta which will be a big blow for them. The pressure is kind of off Ipswich now because they’re looking like they’re down and out so maybe they’ll pull off a surprise. Crystal Palace 1-2 Ipswich.
Saturday 3pm: Liverpool v Southampton
This could be any score but I’ll be kind to Southampton and go for Liverpool to only get three. Maybe Liverpool will take it a bit easy on them with the Champions League games around this. Paris St-Germain were brilliant on Wednesday and they’ll be really dangerous at Anfield so Arne Slot will have an eye firmly on the second leg, for sure. Liverpool 3-0 Southampton.
Saturday 5.30pm: Brentford v Aston Villa
This is a right mid-table clash and Aston Villa are playing a lot of games at the moment. Brentford will be a lot fresher and they’ll have the home advantage so I do fancy them to get all three points. Brentford 2-1 Aston Villa.
Saturday 8pm: Wolves v Everton
It’s 17th v 16th and both look like they’re going to be safe. Matheus Cunha is not going to be available for this game and probably quite a few others as well and he’s Wolves’ main man by some distance. This could be a bore draw which both would take at the this stage and Everton like a draw at the moment. Wolves 1-1 Everton.
Sunday 2pm: Chelsea v Leicester
Leicester are all over the shop at the moment so this should be a really comfortable win for Chelsea to give them a little pep in their step towards the run in. I’d be surprised if Leicester score to be honest. Chelsea 3-0 Leicester.
Sunday 2pm: Spurs v Bournemouth
All of a sudden Tottenham are starting to look vaguely competent again and it’s no surprise now that they’ve got some players back on the pitch. I like Bournemouth a lot but their form has dropped off a bit after they went on a bit of a winning spree. Tottenham 2-0 Bournemouth.
Sunday 4.30pm: Man Utd v Arsenal
Manchester United are poor and they keep getting worse. Arsenal are running out of players but they just know what they’re doing which you can’t say for United. You have to fancy Arsenal, especially after what they did in midweek. Manchester United 1-2 Arsenal.
Monday 8pm: West Ham v Newcastle
West Ham have started to build up a bit of a head of steam while Newcastle are starting to pick up a few problems and they’ll all be thinking about the Carabao Cup final. Antony Gordon was a very silly boy at the weekend and he’s out as well so I fancy the Hammers here. They’re doing alright on the quiet and having Jarrod Bowen back for them is so important. West Ham 2-1 Newcastle.
