Football Tips: Tuesday’s 21/1 Premier League Multi-Match Bet Builder

Paddy's tipster Shane O'Brien reckons Matheus Cunha will be bagging yet another goal against Fulham.

Tuesday night’s Premier League offering sees Brighton hosting Bournemouth, Crystal Palace taking on Aston Villa, Wolves entertaining Fulham and Chelsea facing Southampton.

Football tipster Shane O’Brien has dived into the markets for three of those games to rustle up a Tuesday night Multi-Match Bet Builder, and two of his picks are covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, too, meaning that if a player is replaced, the pick carries over to his replacement.

Brighton v Bournemouth – Kaoru Mitoma to score or assist

Brighton have responded admirably to the 0-7 thrashing at Nottingham Forest at the beginning of February, with Kaoru Mitoma playing a prominent role in the recent uptick in form.

The Seagull’s decision not to sell the Japanese winger to Saudi Arabia for an eyebrow-raising figure appears vindicated after Mitoma scored in three successive games since the Forest hammering, scoring in the come-from-behind win against Chelsea in the cup before scoring an absolutely glorious goal against the same opponents in the Premier League.

Mitoma made it three from three when he scored Brighton’s third in a 0-4 stroll at Southampton on Saturday.

Only Joao Pedro has been involved in more Premier League goals than Mitoma this season for Brighton, with Mitoma scoring seven and assisting three in the league so far.

He is good value to be involved in a goal on Tuesday night against a Bournemouth side that suffered a disappointing home defeat against Wolves at the weekend.

For all their excellent form, Bournemouth have always been susceptible at the back, conceding in six of their last eight Premier League outings, and Brighton should fancy their chances of scoring on Tuesday. Mitoma will be looking to continue his excellent form.

Bournemouth to have 4+ shots on target

Saturday’s home defeat against Wolves made it two defeats in three league games for Bournemouth, but there is some mitigating circumstances, with one defeat coming against a Liverpool juggernaut and the other coming after Bournemouth were reduced to ten men midway through the first half.

They remain one of the most dangerous teams in the Premier League and will almost certainly give Brighton a stern test. They are certainly likely to try, with Andoni Iraola’s side boasting the fourth-highest shots per game in the division.

The Cherries average 15.8 shots per game and 5.8 shots on target per game, and now that they are back to a full complement, they should pose plenty of questions for Brighton.

They should at least record four efforts on target this Tuesday.

Crystal Palace v Aston Villa – Over 2.5 goals

Aston Villa’s win over Chelsea at the weekend represented their first league victory in over a month, with Unai Emery’s side failing to win any of their five previous league outings.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have won four of their last six, all of which were 0-2 away wins. However, the home side have failed to win any of their last three games at Selhurst Park and have not kept a home clean sheet in the league since the end of October – a run of eight games.

Villa, meanwhile, have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last nine games in all competitions and will struggle to keep Palace out on Saturday.

Palace, who have scored in each of their last 10 games in all competitions, scored twice in two meetings with Villa this season, drawing 2-2 at Villa Park in the league and winning 2-1 there in the League Cup.

There is a good chance that Tuesday’s game will see a similar number of goals.

Wolves v Fulham – Corner match bet: Fulham

No club has won fewer corners than Wolves this season, averaging barely over three corners per game.

Vitor Pereira’s side have won just 90 corners in 26 games this season, well below Fulham’s record of 139 in the same number of games. In terms of corners per game, Fulham have won 5.4 corners per game compared to Wolves’ average of just 3.4.

It is hardly surprising. Fulham average over 14 shots per game, while Wolves average just 10.9, the fourth-lowest average in the league.

Wolves also average far less possession than Fulham and are likely to play much of Tuesday’s game without the ball.

Fulham should edge the corner count.

Fulham Corner Match Bet

Matheus Cunha to score anytime

Wolves can count themselves lucky that they are having their worst season since winning promotion in 2018 at the same time that arguably the worst bottom three in Premier League history plummets for the drop, but they can also thank Matheus Cunha for keeping them at arm’s length from Southampton, Ipswich, and Leicester.

The Brazilian has scored 13 goals in 25 Premier League appearances this season, at least six more than any other player in the Wolves squad.

He has scored in each of his last three games, scoring in wins over Bournemouth and Aston Villa as well as in the narrow defeat at Liverpool, and is by far the most likely Wolves player to get themselves on the scoresheet on Tuesday.

Cunha scored twice in a 4-1 at Fulham earlier in the season and could easily repeat the feat on Tuesday.
