Roma v Monza
Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome
TV: Onefootball, 7:45pm
Paulo Dybala to have 2+ shots on target
2025 is certainly suiting Roma so far. Of their seven games played since the turn of the new year, the Romans have won six and drawn one and they’ll still be in a celebratory mood after successfully giving Porto their marching orders in Thursday’s Europa League knockout match.
However their leading goalscorer, Artem Dovbyk, limped off in that game, so scoring duties will surely fall upon their Argentine World Cup winner, Paulo Dybala, here. He’s only scored six times this season in the Serie A but has netted three goals over his last four appearances. With an average of 2.3 shots per game and leading the line he should get two on target against a rather leaky Monza defence.
Over 2.5 goals
Goals should be on the menu, too. Three of their last five home league games have seen at least three goals; they scored a total of 15 goals over those five matches and conceded in three of those five.
Monza are firmly rooted to the bottom of the Serie A standings with just 14 points to show after their 25 matches, but you couldn’t rule them out of scoring here. Alessandro Nesta’s side have scored in six of their last eight on the road. With Roma enjoying some great goal-scoring form, this one certainly looks like it should be ending in a 2-1 or 3-0.
Sheffield United v Leeds
Championship match at Bramall Lane, Sheffield
TV: Sky Sports Football, 8pm
Both teams to score, yes
What a great match we could have here with the top two in the league going head-to-head, particularly as over their last 10 combined games both have won four and lost one.
The Blades, on home soil, have won three, drawn one, and lost one over their last five in the league, scoring eight while conceding six.
Leeds have won three and drawn two over their last five on their league travels, scoring 10 while conceding three. Both teams should be rattling the net here.
Sevilla v Mallorca
La Liga match at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, Seville
TV: Premier Sports/LaLigaTV, 8pm
Both teams to score, yes
Sevilla tend to yo-yo between stringing some good results together before going to the dogs, so a losing run might be back on the cards since they’ve won two, drawn two, and lost one over their last five in La Liga.
On home soil, they have proven tough to beat, losing just two of their last 10 in the league. Of their last five, they’ve won just one, drawn three, and lost one, scoring five while conceding seven.
Mallorca are now chasing European football for next season. After enduring a run of five losses on the trot, they have drawn one and won one over their last two. On their La Liga excursions, they’ve won two and lost three, scoring four and conceding 10.
Sevilla don’t keep many clean sheets, and while they might be tough to beat at home, they’ve not really been able to see off teams, so a BTTS: Yes has the best value here.
Porto v Guimaraes
Primeira Liga match at the Estádio Do Dragão, Porto
TV: TrillerTV, 8:15pm
Porto to win
Porto find themselves seven points behind Benfica at the top of the Primeira Liga, and now that they’re out of Europe, they can try to cut that large gap. They’ve not been in good shape of late, winning just one of their last five, drawing three and losing one.
Their home league form is better, though, with three wins and two draws, 10 goals scored, and just two conceded.
Guimaraes have seemingly lost their scoring boots recently, scoring just four goals over their last five, where they won one, drew three, and lost one. Away from home, they’ve drawn three and lost two, failing to score in three of them. Porto will surely be taking the three points here.
