Football Accumulator Tips: Our 14/1 punt for Saturday’s 3pm Premier League kick offs

Our tipster Sam Farley is all over the 3pm games in the Premier League.

Once the dust settles from the first European knockout stages, and another Liverpool draw this week, we return to a full schedule of Premier League action this weekend.

Following Friday night’s late kickoff at the King Power and Man United’s trip to Everton at lunchtime, we have a whole host of matchups at 3pm on Saturday.

Paddy Power tipster Sam Farley has sized up five value picks here, two of which are covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, meaning that if a player is replaced, the pick carries over to his replacement.

Plus, since this is a five-fold acca, Paddy’s footy acca betting offer kicks in, so we’ll get our stake back if just one leg lets us down.

Fulham v Crystal Palace – Under 2.5 goals
Ipswich v Tottenham – Tottenham to win
Southampton v Brighton – Kaoru Mitoma to score or assist
Bournemouth v Wolves – Bournemouth to win
Arsenal v West Ham – Ethan Nwaneri 1+ shots on target

Fulham v Crystal Palace – Under 2.5 goals

Earlier in the season, it looked like Crystal Palace were in serious trouble, as they suffered a post-Michal Olise hangover that left them loitering around the relegation zone.

After an incredible job last season, doubts began to creep in over manager Oliver Glasner, but since December, he’s really helped elevate this Palace team and get them moving up the table, with them now sitting 13th heading into the weekend.

They’ve had just two defeats in their last 10 in all competitions, picking up six wins as they moved up the table. A large part of that has been their defensive structure, which has seen them concede just six goals in that time span.

It’s no surprise that Under 2.5 goals has landed in seven of those 10 matches. They’ve kept games so tight on the road, with Under 2.5 goals a winner in five of their past six on the road in the Premier League.

Fulham are having a great season, but across their past six league games at Craven Cottage, it’s a 50/50 split between Over and Under 2.5 and with Palace in town, we’re backing another low-scoring game.

Ipswich v Tottenham – Tottenham to win

Spurs have won their past two games in the Premier League, beating Brentford and Manchester United, and could be set for a third league win in a row for the first time this season.

Standing in their way is an Ipswich team who find themselves in the relegation zone with just three wins all season, the most recent of which was in December.

They’ve picked up just two points from the past 18 available, lost at home to a terrible Southampton team and have scored just five goals across that six-goal timeframe.

Now, as bad as Spurs have been this season, they shouldn’t give up multiple goals to an Ipswich team who are averaging less than a goal per game and are the second lowest scoring team in the league.

Spurs are the highest-scoring team in the bottom half of the table, and their 49 league goals is actually the fourth-highest tally of any team in the league.

Last weekend, they welcomed back James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario, and it’s expected that Son Heung-Min, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Kevin Danso will all play on Saturday.

With an influx of healthy players, Spurs should play much better and sweep up the three points here.

Southampton v Brighton – Kaoru Mitoma to score or assist

The hosts are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and almost certainly returning to the Championship next season and given that they’re averaging more than two goals conceded per game, with 57 in just 25 matches, it’s no surprise why.

This hasn’t been a vintage season for Brighton but the Seagulls are improving and have five wins and two defeats in their past seven in all competitions.

Whether it’s coaching or the rumours of a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, one of Brighton’s stars, Kaoru Mitoma, has found his form and is now playing sublime football.

He really broke onto the scene last season and has now rediscovered that form. Across his past six games in all competitions, he’s scored four goals and set up a further goal.

Given the weaknesses that Southampton have at the back, he should be amongst the goals again this Saturday.

Bournemouth v WolvesBournemouth to win

Bournemouth sit fifth in the Premier League, ahead of big boys like Chelsea and Newcastle and miles ahead of Manchester United and Spurs. What’s more impressive is that the position is thoroughly deserved and there aren’t many teams in Europe playing such good football at the moment.

They’ve lost just six times all season, with only Liverpool and Arsenal suffering fewer defeats, and they’ve conceded as many goals as Nottingham Forest, a team famed for their tight defence. The 29 goals they’ve allowed in 25 games is the third-best record in the league.

This is a really talented Bournemouth team, who have made smart signings and now have a team capable of beating anyone in the division. They’ve given up just nine home goals this season, fewer than any other team on home soil.

That bodes well against a Wolves team that, despite being in a relegation dogfight, do have a good attack.

The quality of Bournemouth’s coaching is what sets them apart and they must be backed to win on the South Coast against a Wolves team who have picked up just nine points on the road this season and given up an average of 2.3 goals per game when they’ve been on their travels.

Arsenal v West Ham – Ethan Nwaneri 1+ shots on target

With Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz all sidelined it’s opened up starting spots for other members of the Arsenal squad.

There are rumours of Mikel Merino playing up top as a nine, but until we see him start a game there, he can’t be relied upon.

Others, such as Raheem Sterling, haven’t grabbed their chance with both hands, while young Ethan Nwaneri has arguably been one of, if not the best, Arsenal players over the past few weeks.

The 17-year-old has been talked about for a long term as the next great Gunner, but given a run in the team, he’s now realising that potential. In his past four appearances, across all comps, he’s scored twice and set up another goal.

What’s key for us is that he’s had six shots on target in the Premier League for Arsenal this season. That doesn’t sound much in 14 appearances but when you consider how much he’s been a late sub, it makes sense.

He’s actually averaging 1.44 shots on target per 90 minutes played in the Premier League, a number that puts him above every other Arsenal player, including Havertz and Saka.
