Genoa to win
Relegation-battling Venezia head to Genoa on Monday night, with the hosts looking solid in mid-table at the start of 2025. The away side make the trip in the midst of a dreadful run of Serie A form, with no win in their last seven games and just one victory in their last 14 league outings.
Genoa are mastering the art of picking up the necessary points at home to give themselves some breathing space above the relegation zone. They have amassed seven points in their last four on home soil with just one loss against Napoli.
8pm: Leeds v Sunderland

Leeds to win
The EFL Championship title race could take a key twist on Monday night as Leeds host Sunderland. The Whites will be looking to keep themselves inside the automatic promotion spots in the coming weeks with Sunderland currently battling in the playoffs.
A huge points gap between the Black Cats in 4th and 5th place Blackburn Rovers means both they and Leeds are in a very strong position for at least a playoff place in May.
However, Daniel Farke’s Leeds have the wind in their sails right now, with an outrageous record of five wins and a draw in their last six league games, plus no goals conceded.
Sunderland have only failed to score in one of their last eight league games, so a Leeds win-to-nil bet might be a bit ambitious, but the hosts will be confident of three points in front of a buoyant Elland Road.
Joel Piroe to score
If Leeds are to achieve their goal of Premier League promotion, either in the top two or via the playoffs – Dutch striker Joel Piroe will play a vital role.
The former Swansea City forward already has 14 Championship goals so far this season, compared to 13 from the entirety of 203/24, and he could better his career-high of 22 at Swansea in the coming months.
He is also bang in form with four goals in his last four games and he scored in a 2-2 draw away at Sunderland back in October.
8pm: Barcelona v Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona to win
Barcelona simply have to keep on winning if they want to chase down Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the La Liga title race this season.
Hansi Flick’s side are in red-hot form, unbeaten in league action since the start of 2025, with three wins and a draw. They have also cruised into the UEFA Champions League last 16 and the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
However, they will face a real test in this game, as Rayo Vallecano look to push for European qualification for the first time in over two decades and they head north on a nine-game unbeaten run.
Despite the expected battle, Barcelona know any dropped points could be fatal, and they should squeeze out a victory and end Rayo’s run.
Robert Lewandowski to score
Robert Lewan-gol-ski saw his wild standards drop last season as he only managed 19 league goals for Barcelona. After winning the La Liga Golden Boot in his debut 2022/23 campaign – with 23 goals – the Pole goal machine netted under 20 in the league for the first time since 2014/15 in his opening year with Bayern Munich.
He already has 19 league goals this season, so the sky is the limit, and three goals in his last three league games makes him the man in form for Flick.
