Football Accumulator Tips: Wednesday’s MEGA 63/1 punt from across the UK & Europe

Here's 5 picks from across the UK and Europe.

It’s cup competition week across Europe as we hit the latter stages of the domestic knockouts in England, Spain, and Italy. There’s league action from the Scottish Premiership, and the league leaders in the Championship look to end Frank Lampard’s winning streak.

Football tipster Shane O’Brien has dived into the stats and form for the best fixtures and has dug up five value picks for us.

With this being a five-fold Acca, too, Paddy’s footy acca betting offer kicks in, so we’ll get our stake back if just one leg lets us down.

Wednesday’s Footy Acca tips

7:45pm Coventry v Leeds – Draw
7:45pm Celtic v Dundee – Celtic -2 (Handicap Betting)
8pm Newcastle v Arsenal – Arsenal to win
8pm Leganes v Real Madrid – Real Madrid to win
8pm AC Milan v Roma – Draw

Coventry City v Leeds United – Draw

Championship match at Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry
7:45pm

Leeds have become the standout team in the Championship in recent months as the race for automatic promotion hots up.

Daniel Farke’s side are without defeat since the end of November and have taken ten points from their last four games without conceding a goal.

They are not immune to a draw, however. Farke’s side have drawn three of their last six games in the Championship and nine games in the league all season.

They also meet a Coventry side that has been in excellent form of late under Frank Lampard.

Coventry have won four games on the spin and appear to have found their rhythm under Lampard since the turn of the year.

They could very easily prove to be a thorn in the side of this Leeds United juggernaut.

Celtic v Dundee – Celtic -2

Scottish Premiership match at Celtic Park, Glasgow
TV: Celtic TV, 7:45pm

It is only early February, but the Scottish Premiership is already becoming a procession for Celtic. With a victory over 10th-placed Dundee they can establish a 13-point lead at the top of the table.

These sides have already faced off twice this season, with Celtic winning 2-0 at home and drawing 3-3 away.

That 2-0 victory was an anomaly, however. It was one of just four occasions this season when Celtic failed to win a home league game by more than two goals.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have been relentless this season, dropping just nine points after 24 games and boasting a goal difference of +55.

They should have too much for a Dundee side with two wins to their name in nine league games in a run that included a 6-0 home defeat against Hearts on Saturday.

Arsenal Match Odds

Newcastle v Arsenal – Arsenal to win

Carabao Cup match at St James’ Park, Newcastle
TV: Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Football, 8pm

Arsenal left themselves with plenty of work to do after losing 2-0 at home in the first leg of their semi-final meeting with Newcastle. However, Sunday’s thumping 5-1 victory over Manchester City should have breathed new life into the Gunners’ season.

Mikel Arteta’s side remains a rank outsider to reach the League Cup final, but they will be buoyed by their own victory on Sunday and by Newcastle’s home defeat against Fulham a day earlier.

Newcastle also have much more at stake. They have not won a trophy since 1955 and will feel the weight of history as they aim to secure a second League Cup final appearance in three seasons.

Arsenal will certainly make Newcastle fans nervous. They may just come away with a win, but whether they do enough to overturn a two-goal lead is another story.

Leganes v Real Madrid – Real Madrid to win

Copa Del Rey match at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, Leganes, Spain
8pm

Real Madrid suffered a shock defeat against Espanyol at the weekend and will be looking to bounce back against 16th-placed Leganes in the Copa del Rey.

The Spanish and European champions enter a season-defining period. On Saturday, they will take on second-placed Atletico Madrid in La Liga before travelling to Manchester City three days later for the first leg of their Champions League play-off game.

They absolutely must shake off Saturday’s defeat at Espanyol and a trip to lowly Leganes offers the perfect opportunity to do so.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side strolled to a 3-0 victory when they travelled to these opponents in November, with Leganes winning just twice in eight league games in the interim – albeit with those two victories coming against Atletico and Barcelona.

Leganes have also made it to the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, squeaking by lower league opposition in each of the previous three rounds. They should be no match for Madrid.

Real Madrid Match Odds

AC Milan v Roma – Draw

Coppa Italia match at the San Siro, Milan, Italy
TV: Premier Sports 1, 8pm

Wednesday’s Coppa Italia meeting between AC Milan and Roma pits two sides against each other who currently sit side-by-side in the Serie A table.

AC Milan and Roma are eighth and ninth in the league, respectively, a poor return for two of the country’s biggest clubs.

Milan have not been in good form of late, winning just three of their last nine league games and losing to Dinamo Zagreb on the final day of the league phase of the Champions League to miss out on a place in the top eight.

However, they will take heart from a weekend draw against near neighbours and title chasers Inter Milan.

Roma, on the other hand, have been in much better form. They have gone undefeated in seven league games and have scored 15 points.

They will also be buoyed by a stoppage-time equaliser against league leaders Napoli at the weekend.

However, this fixture finished 1-1 when the sides met in the league in December, and Milan’s home advantage should help them replicate that result.
