The Premier League rolls into Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon where Man United will host Crystal Palace.
PP football tipster Oli Nixon reckons that watching Man United be terrible has been funny for years, but they’ve reached new heights of hilarity this season. For Sunday’s clash, he’s put together a player-based Bet Builder with all three picks making good use of Paddy’s Super Sub offer just in case any of them are replaced.
Let’s get his Man United v Crystal Palace betting tips.

Noussair Mazraoui to commit 2+ fouls
Noussair Mazraoui has been committing plenty of fouls in recent weeks. In his 15 starts since Ruben Amorim’s appointment, he’s committed 1.35 fouls per 90, with two or more fouls in six of those. In the reverse fixture, he struggled to deal with Eberechi Eze and committed four fouls.
Mazraoui is usually deployed at right wing-back, but last weekend was moved to the left side instead. However, no matter which side he is on, he’ll be dealing with either Eze or Ismaila Sarr, who have been fouled 1.87 and 1.86 times per 90 this season, respectively, and so he’ll be very busy and is likely to be drawn into some late challenges.
Will Hughes to be fouled 2+ times
More used to the whistle being blown against him than for him, Will Hughes is always in the thick of the action. He’s been fouled 1.29 times per 90 this season and has drawn two or more fouls in three of his last four starts. He’s landed this leg of the bet in six of his 14 Premier League starts.
The key to this bet is that Hughes will be up against foul monster Manuel Ugarte. The Portuguese midfielder is as tenacious as they come and has wasted no time introducing himself to Premier League referees, averaging 2.44 fouls per 90. No one is safe from Ugarte’s one-man foul crusade, and Hughes can draw a couple from him.
Lisandro Martinez to have 1+ shots
Ruben Amorim loves an overlapping centre-back, and Lisandro Martinez is taking on that role for this Man Utd side.
The Argentine has averaged 0.8 shots per game since Amorim’s arrival, managing at least one shot in six of his last eight Premier League appearances. He’s also scored in two of his last three, including that strike from range against Fulham, so he will be high in confidence.
Martinez had a shot on target in the reverse fixture, and his centre-back partner De Ligt had three, so it’s safe to say Palace struggled to deal with United from set pieces.
The Red Devils racked up 0.88xg that day from set plays, and with Glasner’s side allowing plenty of shots from opposition centre-backs in recent weeks, Lisandro will get plenty of chances to land this betbuilder for us.
