We’ve a proper football feast in the Premier League this Saturday with plenty of big-hitters all in action across two timeslots.
There’s five games at 3pm, including title challengers Liverpool and Arsenal, before all eyes turn to the Etihad for the 5:30pm kick-off, Man City v Chelsea.
Paddy Power pundit Joe Cole joined us recently to give us his best bets for every game. He has a couple of player picks in here, too, so Paddy’s Super Sub promotion will kick in if they’re replaced during the match, meaning the bet will carry over to their replacements.

Bournemouth v Nottingham Forest – Bournemouth to win
3pm
After their performance last week, I can’t bet against Bournemouth. This game will be challenging for Nottingham Forest, so I’m backing a win for the hosts.
Brighton v Everton – Brighton to win
3pm
David Moyes will probably keep Everton up, but this game will be a step too far for them, so I’m going with Brighton to win.
Liverpool v Ipswich – Liverpool to win
3pm
This is your NAP for the week. Coming off a 6-0 defeat to Man City, Ipswich will only suffer more misery away at the league leaders.
Southampton v Newcastle – Southampton to win or draw (double chance)
3pm
After watching how tired Newcastle looked against Bournemouth last week, I fancy a wild outside shot in this one and go with Southampton not to get beat.
Wolves v Arsenal – Arsenal to win
3pm
Wolves won’t be able to handle Arsenal’s front four, so I fancy the Gunners to win this one.
Man City v Chelsea
5.30pm (TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Premier League)
Despite their collapse against PSG on Wednesday, Man City look back on it. Their 6-0 win away at Ipswich was a statement, with Phil Foden finally back to his best and amongst the goals.
This fixture was a 1-1 draw last season and City are now unbeaten in their last five Premier League games.
Chelsea beat Wolves 3-1 on Monday after a difficult spell and are back in the top four.
It’s difficult to distinguish between the two teams and predict which versions will play on Saturday. But I’m going with Man City to win.
It will be a tight game. Chelsea will have their chances against Man City’s high line and I can see them grabbing a goal. So, I’m going with both teams to score (yes).
Erling Haaland scored a goal against Ipswich in the last game and is averaging four shots per match, so I back him to score here.
Marc Cucurella has picked up eight bookings so far this season and this is the type of game where he’ll get stuck in. So I back him to get booked.
