This will be a tough game for Aston Villa and Monaco is a difficult place to go to. They’ve had mixed fortunes in Europe so far this season, they beat Barcelona at home in their first home game, but then they’ve since lost to Benfica and Arsenal since then.
They are down in 16th place in the table, so they really need a result, compared to Villa, who I think are slightly punching above their weight so far in the Champions League this season.
But, they come into this game on the back of that 2-2 Premier League draw at Arsenal over the weekend, and it’s important to see Ollie Watkins on the scoresheet.
I always feel that when he scores, Villa tend to go on and get a result, so I’m going for a draw in this game. I do think it will be exciting, so I’m backing a score draw, and also Watkins to find the net.
As for Monaco, I’m looking at their top scorer Ben Seghir, he averages 3.3 shots per game, so I’d add him in for a goal too.
If anyone is looking to mix it up a little, Morgan Rogers to win 2+ fouls in the game is an option, he’s such a fantastic ball carrier for Villa. He’s hit that mark in each Champions League game he’s played this season
