Stuttgart vs Freiburg – Stuttgart to win
Stuttgart are unbeaten in their previous four games, following an excellent 2-1 win against RB Leipzig. The hosts have only lost twice at home in the Bundesliga this season and have won three of their last five home league matches against RB Leipzig, Union Berlin (3-2) & VfL Bochum (2-0). Freiburg are without a clean sheet in their previous eight domestic matches, following a 4-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt. Away from home, the visitors are on an abysmal run with four defeats in their previous six with heavy defeats at Frankfurt (4-1) and Bayer Leverkusen (5-1)
Brentford vs Liverpool – Liverpool to win
Brentford have only won once in their previous five Premier League matches coming into this game, and the Bees have started to drop points at home, with only one point gained from their last three games at the Gtech Community Stadium. Thomas Frnak’s charges have suffered three defeats in their previous four home games against Nottingham Forest (0-2), Arsenal (1-3) and a 1-0 loss to Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup. Liverpool have only one defeat in their last 27 games in all competitions, and in the Premier League, they possess the best away record in the division, winning seven and drawing three from their ten league matches on the road. The Reds have won three of their previous five away league matches and are unbeaten in the last four meetings between the two teams.
Sheffield United vs Norwich City – Sheffield United to win
Sheffield United’s home form has been excellent this season, with the Blades only losing once from 12 matches at Bramall Lane, gaining 29 points from a possible 36 on offer. They have also won three of their last five home matches in the Championship, with victories against Plymouth (2-0), Sunderland (1-0) and Oxford United (3-0). Norwich have only won three of their 13 away league matches this season, and are winless against the Blades in the last eight meetings between the teams. The Canaries 1-0 win against Luton Town in their previous away fixture was their first victory in nine matches on the road in the Championship.
Oxford vs Blackburn – Blackburn to win
Despite coming into this game with two consecutive wins on home soil, Oxford have only won twice in their previous five home matches in the Championship and suffered defeats against Sheffield Wednesday (1-3) and Middlesbrough (2-6). The home side are winless against Blackburn in the last four meetings between the teams. Blackburn have also been excellent away from home in recent weeks, only losing once in their last six league matches on their travels, winning four from the previous six. The visitors have picked up notable victories at Sheffield Wednesday (0-1) and Middlesbrough (0-1). Blackburn also won the reverse fixture at Ewood Park 2-1 in August.
Leicester vs Fulham – Fulham to win
The home side have lost their previous six Premier League matches coming into this game, with defeats against Crystal Palace (0-2), Aston Villa (2-1), Man City (0-2), Liverpool (3-1), Wolves (0-3) and Newcastle (4-0). The Foxes have one of the poorest home records in the division, with just two wins, three draws and six losses in league action. Fulham have won twice in their previous five away league games at London rivals Chelsea (1-2) and Crystal Palace (0-2) whilst recording impressive draws at Liverpool (2-2) and Tottenham
(2-2). Fulham’s recent defeat against West Ham is their only loss in nine Premier League matches.
Portsmouth vs Middlesbrough – Middlesbrough to win
Portsmouth come into this game with three consecutive losses while failing to score in those three games. The hosts suffered defeats to Blackburn (3-0), Sunderland (1-0) and Wycombe Wanderers (2-0) in the FA Cup. The hosts are also winless in the last eight meetings between the teams. Middlesbrough are unbeaten in their previous six league matches, with four draws and two victories against Hull (0-1) and Millwall (1-0). Away from home, Michael Carrick’s side have lost once in their last five league matches, whilst also recording an impressive 6-2 win away at Oxford.
Lens vs PSG – PSG to win
Lens are coming into this fixture with three defeats in five home matches in Ligue 1 following their 1-0 home defeat to Toulouse. The home side have also suffered defeats against Marseille (1-3) and Lille (0-2) and are without a clean sheet in their previous four matches.
PSG are in excellent form, with the league leaders unbeaten in their previous nine in all competitions and with three consecutive victories in the league against Saint-Etienne (2-1), AS Monaco (2-4) and Lyon (3-1). The visitors are unbeaten in the last five meetings between the teams, with Lens failing to keep a clean sheet in nine against PSG.
Arsenal vs Aston Villa – Arsenal
The Gunners home form has been exceptional this season, as Arsenal are unbeaten from ten league games at the Emirates, having last suffered defeat at home in the league back in April. Arsenal have recorded impressive home wins this season against Man United (2-0),
Nottingham Forest (3-0) and most recently their 2-1 derby win against Tottenham. Aston Villa have suffered away defeats against Newcastle (3-0), Forest (2-1), Chelsea (3-0), Liverpool (2-0) and Tottenham(4-1) in recent weeks. Their 1-0 win at Everton stopped an unwanted run of four consecutive losses on the road for Unai Emery.
