Football Accumulator Tips: Our 20/1 shot for Saturday’s 3pm Premier League kick offs

Our tipster Andrew Beasley casts his beady eye over the 3pm Prem action.

There are only three Premier League matches at 3pm this week. The game has gone, friends.

But it’s an interesting trio of fixtures. League leaders Liverpool have the best away record in the division and will test that at one of the best home teams in the land, Brentford.

Elsewhere, Leicester will move out of the relegation zone if they can beat Fulham at the King Power Stadium, while Graham Potter will look to build on West Ham’s win over the same side when the Hammers host Crystal Palace.

Andrew Beasley have dived into the markets to find a selection for each match which you can combine in an accumulator.

Premier League Acca tips

Brentford v Liverpool – Mohamed Salah to have 2+ goal involvements
Leicester v Fulham – Fulham to win & both teams to score
West Ham v Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace to have 6+ shots on target

Brentford v Liverpool – Mohamed Salah to have 2+ goal involvements

Matches between Brentford and Liverpool in west London are goal-heavy. The Reds won 4-1 last season, lost 3-1 the year before, and drew 3-3 on their first Premier League visit. With the Bees’ home matches averaging 4.6 goals, any one of those score lines could easily be repeated. Brentford have beaten Newcastle 4-2, lost 3-1 to Arsenal and drawn 2-2 with Manchester City at the Gtech Stadium since the start of last month.

In the same period, Liverpool drew 3-3 at Newcastle before winning 6-3 at Tottenham and 5-0 at West Ham. Maybe this match ends, oh, I don’t know, 2-7? It should be a fun afternoon for Mohamed Salah. He scored when Liverpool beat Brentford at Anfield in August and topped that in this fixture last February. Despite only being a sub, Salah delivered a goal and an assist.

The Egyptian king has already set the all-time Premier League record for matches in which a player both scored and set up a goal this season and we’re barely half way through.

He has made at least two goal contributions in nine league games in 2024/25, four more than the next best top flight player for this, Alexander Isak. With Brentford conceding plenty, take the Star Player Special for Salah to have 2 or more goal involvements.

Leicester v Fulham – Fulham to win & both teams to score

At Leicester, the honeymoon period for Ruud van Nistelrooy is so far over that the club might be about to make him sleep in the spare room. Three straight league defeats saw the end of Steve Cooper’s brief reign, with van Nistelrooy collecting four points from his first two games to apparently justify the managerial switch.

However, the Foxes have lost six in a row since that little bounce. While they’ve had some tough games, a record of two goals scored and 16 conceded ain’t go no alibi. It’s ugly.

Fulham’s form in their previous six league games is just weird. They won at Stamford Bridge, drew four times, and were then beaten at West Ham on Tuesday night. But even then, they somehow lost 3-2 when the Hammers only had four shots. That result sums up Fulham’s season. If matches were decided by expected goals, they’d be my uncle. Sorry, I mean, they’d have 11 more points.

And they might easily squander chances at Leicester, too, but the home side’s defence is like that meme of the security guard vaguely waving his hands near people. It’s defensive in name only. As the Foxes have only failed to net in one of their home games against a current top-half side, take Fulham in the ‘Result & Both to Score’ market.

West Ham v Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace to have 6+ shots on target

Our final game is a London derby at the London Stadium. As mentioned above, West Ham were fortunate to win last time out and they face a Palace side with a good record on their patch.

The Eagles are unbeaten in their previous five visits to this corner of east London. While the odds are fairly evenly priced for the two sides in the Match Odds market, the underlying data for this season suggests Palace should be the clear favourite. The problem is they’re unreliable. Oliver Glasner’s side have yet to win consecutive league games this season.

But one thing they are good at, especially on the road, is having shots on target. Palace have averaged five per away game in 2024/25, only having fewer than four twice.

Similarly, West Ham are allowing 5.7 per home match. I’ll be taking Crystal Palace to have 6+ shots on target, and you should, too.
