Our tipster Sam Farley's ready to go for Wednesday's early games.

Wednesday’s’ 7.30pm football tips

Everton v Aston Villa – Under 2.5 goals
Leicester v Crystal Palace – Palace win & Both teams to score
Newcastle v Wolves – Matheus Cunha to score

Everton v Aston Villa – Under 2.5 goals

TV: TNT Sports 2

It’s David Moyes time again at Everton and you have to be confident that the Scotsman will be able to steer the Toffees from potential relegation. He’s not be installed long at the club though and he wouldn’t have had time to fully drill his new players in his tactics. That means we’re probably going to see Everton looking as toothless as the league’s second lowest scoring team have been all season.

Defensively Everton have been reasonable this season, conceding less than anybody in the bottom half and Moyes will look to build on that defensive set up that Sean Dyche had built at the club. Villa are tied for the second lowest scoring team in the top half of the table and will do well to put many goals past a motivated, tight, Everton team.

Under 2.5 Goals Over/Under 2.5 Goals

Leicester v Crystal Palace – Palace win & BTTS

TV: TNT Sports 4

After a very slow start to the season, we’ve begun to see Crystal Palace move through the gears. They’ve only lost once in their last five Premier League games. Most importantly they’re starting to see some of their stars recapture last season’s form. Eberechi Eze has either a goal or an assist in each of his last three games, while Jean-Philippe Mateta got back to goal scoring ways against Chelsea.

Leicester have conceded the second most goals in the Premier League and are on the worst losing run of any team in the top flight, with five back-to-back defeats. They are at danger at being cut adrift at the bottom but it’s concerning that they’ve still been scoring goals and finding ways to lose games. Both teams to score has landed in 15 of 20 of their league games this season but Palace should have enough to secure the three points.

5/2
Crystal Palace Result & Both to Score

Newcastle v Wolves – Matheus Cunha to score

TV: TNT Sports 3

Newcastle come into this in great form. They’ve won five on the bounce in the Premier League, and have scored at least two goals in five of their past seven in the league. However, they face a tough challenge against a Wolves team who have looked improved since Vitor Pereira replaced Gary O’Neil, escaping the drop zone. They’ve won three of five games under the new gaffer, drawing against Spurs and losing to surprise package Nottingham Forest.

It’s notable that they didn’t have Matheus Cunha in the Forest defeat, with the Brazilian serving a two-game suspension. The 25-year-old has been a revelation this season, scoring 10 goals in 19 Premier League games. He comes into this well rested following his suspension and will be looking to continue the excellent form he had before, in which he’d scored three in his last four games. He’s a real dangerous player, one of the Premier League’s form strikers and coming into this fresh and rested, at big odds.
