Four of Sam’s picks are covered by Paddy’s Super Sub offer, too, meaning if a player is substituted, the picks carry over to his replacement.

Right then, let’s get his Wolves v Man United betting tips.

Over 2.5 goals

When Wolves host Manchester United on Boxing Day, there’s one thing we are confident we’re going to see plenty of, and that’s goals. Both teams come into this on the back of 3-0 results, with United losing to Bournemouth and Wolves getting valuable points against Leicester.

We’ve seen Over 2.5 goals in the past six Premier League games for the hosts, as they’ve managed to score plenty, but they also concede plenty. The Ruben Amorim era at Man Utd has seen goals, too, with seven of his nine games in charge seeing at least three goals.

Noussair Mazraoui to commit 2+ fouls

This leg of the Bet Builder has the highest individual odds, so it’s the riskiest, but there are good reasons to think that Noussair Mazraoui will commit multiple fouls here. The Moroccan has shown himself to be a really useful squad player since arriving at Old Trafford. He has been used as a wingback on both sides, a centreback, and even a number 10 until Erik ten Hag.

Being such a versatile player has helped him get minutes, but it means he hasn’t solidified a position or a partnership with a teammate. That, combined with a slightly rash temperament, has led to him committing plenty of fouls. He’s averaging 1.51 fouls per 90 minutes played in the Premier League. Given the attacking talent on display at Wolves, he could be in for a tough afternoon.

Noussair Mazraoui Player To Commit 2 Or More Fouls

Manuel Ugarte to commit 2+ fouls

Another of the summer’s incomings at Manchester United is also ripe to pick up a pair of fouls. Manuel Ugarte has been a good signing, but the nature of his role is all about breaking up play, which can obviously lead to some bad challenges and committing fouls.

Wolves’ most dynamic attackers are those behind Jorgen Strand Larsen, who runs into the spaces created, something Ugarte will need to be conscious of. He’s been a fouling machine this season with 20 fouls in 12 appearances, and an average of 2.78 fouls per 90 minutes on the field.

Amad Diallo to score or assist

It’s been a difficult period for Manchester United but the one shining light has been the emergence of Amad Diallo. He wasn’t utilised effectively under Ten Hag but has seized the chance to play regularly and looks like the club’s best attacking player under Amorim.

He’s been a regular under the new manager and has five assists and two goals since the Portuguese took charge at Old Trafford. His speed and directness are getting him into dangerous positions where he can showcase his finishing and ability to find teammates. Wolves have allowed a Premier League high of 40 goals in just 17 games, and any scoring changes for United are likely to involve Amad.

Nelson Semedo to be fouled 1+ times

Wolves’ Nelson Semedo is the best value player to get fouled on Thursday. Throughout the season he’s averaged 0.8 fouls, the most of any player in the Wolves team. However, there are more reasons to be excited, with Semedo being deployed as a right-wing back in the post-Gary O’Neil era, as opposed to some previous games on the right side of the back three.

Playing as a wingback gives him licence to get upfield and win fouls, as evidenced by getting fouled twice on Sunday in the win over Leicester. He’s a quick player, and with the struggles that United have had at left back, where they’re played a variety of different players, he’s a great price to win a foul.
