I was at Southampton for Russel Martin’s last game in charge. I looked at the team he picked and the tactics he chose, and I thought they could’ve caused Tottenham some problems. I’ve watched them over the last few weeks and seen improvements. I really love Tyler Dibling; he’s the best young breakout player in the country. He’s been superb, and I love watching him play.
However, they were swept away by Spurs, and I really felt sorry for Martin because I could see what he was trying to do with the squad. But he’s gone now, and they’ve got to move on.
On the other hand, Fulham’s manager Marco Silva really knows how to get them going. He’s signed some good, honest Premier League players and built a solid team around them. He’s got some good camaraderie on that team now.
I reckon Southampton can get something here though. I see this one ending level in a 1-1 Draw.
I’d back my new favourite player, Dibling to score too. He’s getting a lot of shots off now. If he gets the freedom from whoever they sign as their new manager, they should really build the team around him.
If they’re going to have any chance of staying up in the Premier League, the team needs to be built around that kid. He’s a top player, and I think he’ll score here for the Saints.
Harry Wilson was amongst the goals in previous weeks, so he could be the one for Fulham. I reckon this game’s going to be tighter than Paddy thinks. Southampton aren’t as bad as their points suggest at all.
