The weekend’s Premier League action kicks off with Aston Villa taking on Manchester City at Villa Park.
The hosts haven’t lost on home soil in the league since August and Pep Guardiola’s side are now winless over their last seven away games in all competitions.
Former Hammer and PP ambassador Joe Cole joined us earlier this week to give us his thoughts on the game. Let’s get his Aston Villa v Man City betting tips.

What do you do with Man City? At some point, it has to turn around for them because of the quality that’s there. They look so lightweight in midfield. Ikay Gundogen, who I think is a fabulous player, is one of the best we’ve ever seen in the Premier League, but he’s come back to City, and I don’t think he’s settled back into it.
They so open to counterattacks now as well, something we’ve not seen for a while, probably since Pep Guardiola’s first season in charge when he was putting the structure in,his first 18 months, and then they nailed it down.
I have to go with the logical part of my head here, though, and I’m going to forget about the confidence of the players, forget form, who have the better players? Man City have the better players, so I’m going to back them to win.
Both Teams to Score should be landing, too, I can see this ending 1-2, and I’d take Kevin de Bruyne to score. It’s been a long time for him, and he’s had enough time now to get back up to speed. He’s been dipped in and out of the team since getting back from his injury, and I think he’ll score here.
