Both teams have had to deal with plenty of injuries this season. Juventus’ new manager, Thiago Motta, heralded as a young and exciting manager, hasn’t hit the ground running at the Old Lady. They have lots of first-team players missing.
Man City can’t suffocate teams like they usually do. Teams are getting in behind them far too easily, and City are struggling to stop them without Rodri. Crystal Palace found it far too easy on Saturday at times.
Juventus aren’t in great form either, but they have been improving and are equipped to be a solid Champions League team. I can see both teams scoring in this one. Man City’s vulnerabilities at the back will see them concede while they still have enough quality up front to score past a strong Juventus defence.
I can see both teams’ frailties cancelling each other out and neither having enough to claim the win, so I’m backing a draw here.
Man City will still find goals at this level, and Erling Haaland will get chances. I back Erling Haaland to score.
