If Julen Lopetegui is going to be at West Ham past Christmas he need to win games like this. West Ham had 31 shots the other night against Leicester, 31, and they lost 3-1!
Going forward things are functioning, putting them away will come in time. Niclas Fullkrug will come back into it as well, he’s getting back up to speed.
You want Lopetegui to play Fullkrug and make him stay between the sticks. He can be the type of figure that Raul Jimenez was for Wolves, a pure finisher.
Michail Antonio’s been a great, great player but he needs support. He can’t play for 90 minutes every game so, between the two of them, you’d imagine there’s enough goals there.
Defensively West Ham need to do better. There’s been wholesale changes at the back and I think Max Kilman has been very good but the defensive structure needs to be better and they need to stop conceding goals.
I saw enough in West Ham during the week to make me think they’ll go and win this. A win would steady the ship and hopefully we start to see that midfield blend a little bit.
I’m going for West Ham to win 3-1 and for Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta to score as well.
