Chelsea v Aston Villa Tips: Blues to cruise in Joe Cole's 34/1 flutter

Gather round one and all because we’ve got a Joe Cole derby on the box on Sunday. No, it’s not Lille v Tampa Bay Rowdies but Chelsea v Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Paddy’s pal obviously knows a thing or two about these two teams so how will both shape up here after yet another busy week of European football? Let’s get Joe’s view.

Aston Villa have been suffering from the fact they’re in Europe. It has a massive impact and it’s difficult for players who are not used to it, to compete at the highest level every three or four days.

Unai Emery was very happy with the point they got against Juventus in the week. Chelsea have been fantastic, especially when you consider everything that’s happened with the club over the last few years.

Enzo Maresca’s been a breath of fresh air and they’re starting to defend better as well. They’ve scored lots of goals and they’ve sorted out their attacking patterns to go with the improved defending.

It was another good win for them on Thursday night in Germany and Mykhailo Mudryk scored again. They’ve got goals from everywhere and I’m going to go for a reasonably comfortable 3-1 Chelsea win.

I like Nicolas Jackson to score, he was brilliant against Leicester. I think the midfield will be hotly contested but Pau Torres could struggle at the back for Villa. The way that they play, and with Chelsea’s pace, he might be good for a booking.

Morgan Rogers is always worth a look for shots on goal. He gets his shots off, he moves the ball, he sometimes has a license to play with freedom so if he starts I fancy him to test the keeper as well.
