Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday’s 32/1 Premier League acca from the 3pm kick-offs

Andrew Beasley's has us in for goals, goals and more goals on Saturday afternoon.

The fixture scheduling gods and TV companies have thrown together an interesting group of eight clubs in the 3pm Saturday slot this weekend.

Of the eight teams playing, Wolves were the only one to record a victory last weekend. We’ve got a lot of teams in serious need of three points here, not least as half of them will start the day in the bottom five of the Premier League table. The heat is on.

Here’s PP football writer Andrew Beasley‘s with a selection for each of the four games.

Premier League Acca Tips

Brentford v Leicester – Over 3.5 goals
Crystal Palace v Newcastle – Over 2.5 goals
Nottingham Forest v Ipswich – Nottingham Forest to win & both teams to score
Wolves v Bournemouth – Bournemouth to win

Brentford v Leicester – Over 3.5 goals

Our first fixture takes place at Brentford, with newly managerless Leicester City travelling to face the second-longest-serving gaffer in the Premier League (assuming that fraud Pep Guardiola hasn’t been fired by the time you read this).

There’s rarely much to separate these sides. The last time the Foxes were in the top division, both meetings ended all square, while the season before, they were each settled by a single goal.

More notably, both teams scored in the previous five clashes with at least three goals in four of them. Their records in 2024/25 suggest those trends should continue, with Brentford and Leicester in the top five for most goals conceded. The visitors are joint-top for this on the road too.

The Bees’ matches have averaged 3.7 goals this season, so Over 3.5 Goals seems a safe call for our opening game.

Crystal Palace v Newcastle – Over 2.5 goals

We go across town to Selhurst Park next for a birdhouse dust-up between Eagles and Magpies. Crystal Palace might have had the better result last weekend, drawing 2-2 at Aston Villa, but it’s Newcastle who are enjoying the stronger season.

Whichever side has been away has failed to score in the last six meetings of these teams, though with three 0-0 bore draws in that period, goals have been thin on the ground generally.

There should be more this time. Newcastle’s last five away games include pairs of 2-1s and 3-1s. Only against Sean Dyche’s blue machine of boredom was there a lack of goals.

While Palace’s home games have tended to be low-scoring, it’s mainly because they’ve wasted so many chances. This combination of teams should deliver over 2.5 Goals on Saturday. Who will win is far harder to call.

Nottingham Forest v Ipswich – Nottingham Forest to win & both teams to score

Nottingham Forest host Ipswich for our third game, in a match-up that last took place in early 2019.

It says a lot about the current instability in the Premier League that Forest have lost their last two games yet still sit fourth in the six-game form table. Equally, despite being unbeaten in three, the Tractor Boys are second-bottom of the league in the same period.

This is the sort of game in which Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have thrived this season, though. Forest has played six games against teams that start the weekend in the bottom eight, winning four and drawing the other two.

They should beat Ipswich, but not without conceding, as Town have found the net in all three of their away defeats. Take Forest to win and both teams to score.

Wolves v Bournemouth – Bournemouth to win

We finish at Molineux. Wolves might prefer it if we were off to the Vitality Stadium instead, as four of their last six games with Bournemouth were won by the away side.

This run includes 1-0 victories for the Cherries in the West Midlands in each of the last two seasons. Bournemouth are favourites to land three points again, but the underlying data suggests the price should be far shorter.

Their performances on the road have been better than results. Even when losing at Liverpool they had 19 shots, the most any team has had at Anfield for at least a decade.

Wolves have conceded 28 goals, the most in the division, so picking Bournemouth to win will wrap up our accumulator nicely.
