12.30pm: Middlesbrough v Hull: Middlesbrough to win
Sixth-place Middlesbrough takes on 22nd-place Hull City in Saturday’s early Championship action. Michael Carrick’s side suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night, ending their three game winning streak in the process, having beaten Oxford United 2-0, Luton Town 5-1 and QPR 4-1 after their heavy 3-0 home loss to Coventry City.
12.30pm: Watford v QPR: Watford to win
Fifth-place Watford hosts 23rd-place QPR at Vicarage Road on Saturday. Tom Cleverley’s side have won three of their last five matches, having thrashed Sheffield Wednesday 6-2 before losing 1-0 at Swansea City and beating both Oxford United and Bristol City via 1-0 scorelines on either side of a 2-2 away draw with Plymouth Argyle.
QPR earned a rare win on Wednesday night as they won 2-0 away at Cardiff City. Prior to the aforementioned victory, Marti Cifuentes’ side had drawn with Stoke City (1-1) and Sunderland (0-0) on either side of 2-0 and 4-1 defeats to Leeds United and Middlesbrough.
1.30pm: Blackburn v Leeds: Leeds to win
Entering gameweek 18, Leeds United will be looking to retain their place as league leaders when they make the trip to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers. Blackburn have earned solid victories over Middlesbrough (1-0) and Cardiff City (3-1) of late after previously suffering three defeats on the spin to Stoke City (2-0), Sheffield United (2-0) and Watford (1-0).
Leeds United have won four of their last five matches, with the only blot on their copybook being a 1-0 loss at Millwall on 6th November. Daniel Farke’s men have earned wins against Plymouth Argyle (3-0), QPR (2-0), Swansea City (4-3) and Luton Town (3-0).
2.30pm: RB Leipzig vs Wolfsburg: RB Leipzig to win
The final game on this Mega Acca also comes from the German Bundesliga, as third-place RB Leipzig faces off against 11th in the table Wolfsburg. Marco Rose’s men will be looking to rekindle their form, as they are actually without a win in their last five matches, with their most positive result in this run being a 0-0 draw at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Leipzig’s last four defeats have all come away from home to Inter Milan (1-0), Hoffenheim (4-3), Celtic (3-1) and Borussia Dortmund (2-1). Wolfsburg have won both of their last two matches against Union Berlin 2-1 and Heidenheim 3-1, however, prior to these results, the visitors had drawn 1-1 and 0-0 with Augsburg and St. Pauli on either side of a 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the DFB Pokal.
2.30pm: Union Berlin v Bayer: Bayer to win
Bayer Leverkusen makes the journey to Union Berlin in Saturday’s Bundesliga action. Union Berlin sit 10th in the table and are without a win in their last five matches, having drawn with both Eintracht Frankfurt (1-1) and Freiburg (0-0) while losing to Wolfsburg (1-0) and Bayern Munich
(3-0).
In the DFB Pokal, Union suffered a humiliating 2-0 away defeat at Arminia Bielefeld. Xabi Alonso’s men look like they may have found their spark as following 0-0 and 1-1 draws with Stuttgart and Bochum on either side of a heavy 4-0 loss at Liverpool, Leverkusen have thrashed the likes of Heidenheim 5-2 and Salzburg 5-0 with Florian Wirtz (2), Álex Grimaldo, Patrik Schick and Aleix Garcia all getting on the scoresheet against the Austrian Bundesliga outfit.
3pm: Brentford vs Leicester: Brentford to win
The first leg of this Mega Acca comes from the Premier League as 11th-place Brentford meets 16th-place Leicester City. Brentford noticeably have a strong home record this campaign, seeing them win all of their last three games at the Gtech Community Stadium against the likes of Ipswich Town (4-3), Sheffield Wednesday (5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw) and Bournemouth (3-2).
Meanwhile, the Bees’ last two away matches have resulted in a 2-1 loss at Fulham and a 0-0 draw with Everton. Leicester have lost four of their last five matches, with the Foxes’ best result being a 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town, where Jordan Ayew scored a 94th-minute equaliser. The visitors have suffered defeats to Nottingham Forest (3-1), Manchester United (5-2 and 3-0) and Chelsea (2-1).
5.30pm: West Ham v Arsenal: Arsenal to win
Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal visit West Ham United in Saturday’s 5:30 pm kick-off. The Hammers earned a shock 2-0 win at Newcastle on Monday night as Tomas Soucek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both got on the scoresheet.
Heading into that game, the Irons had accumulated just four points from their last four league matches, following a 0-0 draw with Everton on top of defeats to Nottingham Forest (3-0) and Tottenham Hotspur (4-1) on either side of a 2-1 victory against Manchester United.
Arsenal look to have recaptured their form with solid 5-1 and 3-0 victories over Sporting Lisbon and Nottingham Forest. In the run-up to the aforementioned matches, Mikel Arteta’s side had drawn 1-1 with Chelsea after suffering consecutive 1-0 defeats at the hands of Inter Milan and Newcastle United.
5.30pm: Dortmund vs Bayern: Bayern to win
Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich go head-to-head in Der Klassiker at Signal Iduna Park. Nuri Sahin’s side have won four of their last five games, following victories against RB Leipzig (2-1), Sturm Graz (1-0), Freiburg (4-0) and Dinamo Zagreb (3-0). The only poor result in this sequence was a 3-1 defeat at Mainz on 9th November.
Bayern’s form is pristine, as Vincent Kompany’s men have won all of their last five matches, beating Union Berlin (3-0), Benfica (1-0), St. Pauli (1-0), Augsburg (3-0) and PSG (1-0).
7.45pm: Bologna v Venezia: Bologna to win
Bologna versus Venezia is our only tip from Serie A on this Mega Acca, with this being a meeting of eighth and 20th place. Vincenzo Italiano’s men enter this game off the back of defeats to Lille (2-1) and Lazio (3-0), however, before those losses, Bologna had beaten AS Roma 3-2 and Lecce 1-0 on either side of a 1-0 home defeat to AS Monaco.
Venezia have accumulated just eight points from 13 league matches this campaign, with four of these coming in their last five matches, as prior to their recent defeats to Lecce (1-0), Parma (2-1) and Inter Milan (1-0), they had managed to earn a 3-2 home win over Udinese after a 2-2 draw at Monza.
8pm: Valladolid v Atletico Madrid: Atleti to win
Bottom of the table, Real Valladolid faces the unenviable task of playing host to third-place Atlético Madrid. Valladolid’s only win in their last five matches has come in the Copa del Rey as they earned a 4-1 win at Astur – this result came in and around defeats to Villarreal (2-1) and Osasuna (1-0).
Since then, they have drawn 1-1 with Athletic Club, while suffering a 2-0 loss at Getafe last time out. Atlético Madrid are in red-hot form of late, as Diego Simeone’s side have won all of their last five matches, beating the likes of Las Palmas (2-0), PSG (2-1), Mallorca (1-0), Deportivo Alaves (2-1) and Sparta Praha (6-0).
