We all knew it was going to be tough for Aston Villa in the Champions League. Like Newcastle a few seasons ago, when you get in there and you’re not used to it, it’s tough going.
That’s why it’s incredible that teams like Real Madrid, Man City and Liverpool and so on can manage the group stages and their league comfortably most years, it’s because they have top, top players and they’re used to doing it.
