The Premier League returns with a bang after the international break, and Saturday’s big match sees Pep Guardiola’s Machester City hosting Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium.

Key to this match is Kevin de Bruyne coming back into the Man City team before the international break. City look like a team that have been having a real wobble, but there are rumors of late that Pep Guardiola is set to extend his contract, so that will settle the whole club.
It was inevitable that, at some point, with all the charges being made against them that it would filter into the team and affect results. Knowing they might not be able to sign new players and keep progressing would, of course, have a bad effect on any team.
Saying that, they’ve still got a stunning squad, so you can’t write them off.
Tottenham, on the other hand, well, what do you get from Tottenham? They’re in touching distance of the Top 4 but they’ve been beaten twice at home by teams in the relegation zone.
City should be winning here without much of a problem. I think this will be the start of the renaissance for them. I feel like they’ll come back from the international break and go on a run coming up to Christmas. It won’t be as blistering as in previous years, but I’d go with a comfortable Man City 3-1 win here.
Dejan Kulusevski is playing well for Spurs; he’s one of their shining lights over recent weeks in that number 10 position, keeping James Maddison out of the team. I fancy him to score here, and from City’s perspective, there’s only one man to back at any time for them and that’s Erling Haaland.
The way that both teams play, there can’t not be goals. Where both defensive lines for both teams play, there’s just so much open space for teams to attack, and the quality of both teams going forward means there will be goals here.
