Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday’s 22/1 Premier League acca from the 3pm kick-offs

Our tipster Andrew Beasley's has your Saturday afternoon sorted with the 3pm PL games.

It’s a big weekend in the Premier League, though when isn’t it? We’ve got Ruben Amorim’s first match in charge of Manchester United, an Enzo Maresca derby at Leicester and a clash between Manchester City and Tottenham to decide who the true crisis club is.

Lads, it’s Tottenham (probably). Thankfully, none of those games kicks off in the UK’s TV blackout zone, but don’t let that worry you—there’s still money to be made in that time slot. Here’s PP football writer Andrew Beasley‘s accumulator with a pick from the five games played at 3pm on Saturday.

Premier League Acca Tips

Arsenal v Nottingham Forest – Arsenal to win and Both teams to score
Aston Villa v Crystal Palace – Aston Villa to win
Bournemouth v Brighton – Over 2.5 goals
Everton v Brentford – Over 2.5 goals
Fulham v Wolves – Fulham to win

Arsenal v Forest – Arsenal win and BTTS

We begin at Arsenal for a match between a team delighted to be fifth and one dissatisfied with fourth place. The Gunners and Nottingham Forest have identical records of five wins and two draws from their 11 games.

Yet the visitors are in better form. Over the previous six match weeks, Forest have been the third-best side in the Premier League, whereas Arsenal are 11th. Forest have also collected four points from their trips to Chelsea and Liverpool.

Nonetheless, Mikel Arteta’s side have been very strong at home in recent years, so they should collect the three points. The last two meetings between these teams ended 2-1 in Arsenal’s favour, so back them to win and both teams to score.

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace – Aston Villa to win

Everything is relative, of course, but Aston Villa (ninth in the table) and Crystal Palace (18th) are having worse seasons than they’d hoped.

It makes this a big game. At the start of the weekend, Villa are one point off 3rd place while the Eagles are the same distance from the salvation of 17th. But there’s no need to overthink this selection, as the home side should win easily.

Palace can point to a recent 2-1 victory at Villa Park in the Carabao Cup, which suggests otherwise. But they were far closer to full strength than Unai Emery’s men that night. With only two teams scoring fewer away goals than the visitors, it’s Villa to win here.

Bournemouth v Brighton – Over 2.5 goals

Our next stop is the Vitality Stadium for a ‘we’ve recently beaten Man City’ derby. The underlying data for this season suggests backing Bournemouth is the value play of the weekend.

It is hard to write off the Seagulls, though. Their only defeats in 2024/25 have occurred against Liverpool and Chelsea, and they have recorded four wins out of four against sides currently between eighth and 16th.

As it’s a tough result to call, let’s take Over 2.5 Goals instead. That selection paid out in both meetings last season (with Bournemouth winning 3-0 at home in April) and in eight of Brighton’s 11 league matches in 2024/25.

Over 2.5 Goals Over/Under 2.5 Goals

Everton v Brentford – Over 2.5 goals

As we’re talking goals, we move on to a fixture with no middle ground for them. Three of the last four games between Everton and Brentford include a 1-1 draw and a pair of 1-0 wins for the Toffees. Yet there have also been 1-3, 2-3 and 4-1 scorelines in the previous six meetings.

This differential also applies to both teams this season. The Bees have been the Premier League’s great entertainers, with an average of four goals in their matches.

This will shock you, but Sean Dyche’s side are at the opposite end of the standings. Their last eight matches have averaged just 1.9 goals, the fewest in the division.

Brentford’s madness should tip the scales towards entertainment. They are the only team in the top flight without a clean sheet, and they have failed to score only against the league leaders. Over 2.5 Goals for this one, please, Paddy.

Fulham v Wolves – Fulham to win

We finish at Craven Cottage. As with the Villa game, the selection for the clash between Fulham and Wolves appears very straightforward: home win.

Marco Silva’s side have been excellent this season. Expected goal data suggests they have been the second-best team in the Premier League, believe it or not. Thanks to the cartel suppressing news about small clubs, you won’t have heard about it.

Fulham have been dominant at home, recording more xG than their visitors in every match. As their lowly standing would suggest, Wolves have yet to achieve this feat on the road.

I wouldn’t discourage you from backing Fulham on the handicap of -1 to improve the price, as they will likely dominate this game. But if you back them to win, you should have a few extra pennies for your Saturday night out.
