Bosnia v Netherlands – Netherlands to win & both teams to score

Nations League match at Stadion Bilino Polje, Zenica
TV: Viaplay on YouTube, 7:45pm

Bosnia’s fall from grace has been tough to watch. For many years, they’d punched well above their weight but have now won just four games over their last 20 fixtures. Locals point to Croatia as the main culprit in their downfall, as their success has seen many young players declare for their neighbours.

Regardless, they face a Netherlands side that has lost just one of their Nations Leage games. However, the hosts will take some confidence from the fact that the away side have conceded in all but two of their last 11 fixtures and in four of their last five on the road.

The Dutch should be winning; however, Bosnia’s defence is in a bad way. They’ve shipped 11 goals over their last three games. So, we’re likely looking at a 1-2 or 1-3 here.

Netherlands Result & Both to Score

Hungary v Germany – Both teams to score, yes

Nations League match at the Puskás Aréna, Budapest
TV: Viaplay on YouTube, 7:45pm

Hungary are an odd side. They’ve got the makings of a good team, but there’s also something inherent in them that means they cannot function like a team. Spain used to be like that. The different Real v Barca factions couldn’t get along with each other. Maybe the Hungarians need a figurehead to cross the divide.

The hosts have won one, drawn two, and lost two over their last five. While at home, they have won three and drawn two, scoring seven goals.

Germany have won four and drawn one over their last five, scoring a very impressive 17 goals. Over their last five on the road, they’ve won two, drawn two, and lost one, so the hosts could well cause some problems here.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side should win, but we’ve seen over their recent travels that they can occasionally shoot themselves in the foot. Both teams scoring is the smarter play.

Yes Both Teams To Score

Czech Republic v Georgia – Czech Republic to win

Nations League match at the Andrův Stadion, Olomouc
TV: Viaplay on YouTube, 7:45pm

This one should be fairly tense. The Czechs are on eight points at the top of the standings, Georgia are a point behind in second, Albania are also on seven points but three goals behind while Ukraine are on five points. So, a win for Ukraine and a loss for Czech would see the bottom side finishing second.

The hosts are in good form, though. They’ve won two, drawn two, and lost one recently, while at home, they have won nine and drawn one over their last ten matches.

Georgia, on the other hand, have failed to win any of their last three fixtures, and away from home have won two of their last five, losing the other three. That Czech home record is tough to argue with, so we’re backing them to take the three points and secure top spot.

7/10
Czech Republic Match Odds

Montenegro v Turkey – Turkey to win

Nations League match at the Stadion Kraj Bistrice, Nikšić
TV: Viaplay on YouTube, 7:45pm

Montenegro are already doomed to relegation, and Turkey’s three-goal advantage over Wales means a point should mean they finish top. But there’s no reason why the Turks won’t go for the full three points.

The hosts have lost seven in a row and failed to score in five of them, and with the away side winning three of their last four, we have to side with them here.

Turkey Match Odds

Wales v Iceland – Both teams to score, yes

Nations League match at the Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff
TV: Viaplay on YouTube, 7:45pm

The good times continue for Craig Bellamy’s Wales, who are now undefeated over their last five fixtures, and so long as they avoid defeat here, they’ll be heading into a promotion playoff. Their home form has been good, too; they’ve lost just one of their last 10 fixtures.

Iceland’s results haven’t been great, their only wins have come against Montenegro and the Icelanders have only won two of their last five on their recent travels too; one was that shock 0-1 humiliation of England at Wembley though, which was fun in fairness.

But Wales have to be wary here, the away side have scored in all but one of their last 10 games, scoring at least two in seven of those matches, and they’ve also been on the scoresheet in eight of their last 10 on the road.

Wales should be winning here but Iceland’s goal-scoring stats suggest we’re getting some great value in backing both teams to get on the scoresheet.
