Monday night’s Nations League fixtures look rather tasty. We have Croatia hosting Portugal, Poland welcoming Scotland to Warsaw, Spain take on Switzerland and Northern Ireland travel to Luxembourg assured of finishing in top spot.

Our football tipster, Paddy Murphy, is here with value on his mind and has five value picks for us.

With this being a five-fold Acca, too, Paddy’s footy acca betting offer kicks in, and we’ll get our stake back if just one leg lets us down.

Let’s get right into it.

Monday’s Footy Acca tips

*All games kickoff at 7:45pm

Croatia v Portugal – Both teams to score, yes
Poland v Scotland – Poland to win
Serbia v Denmark – Serbia to win
Spain v Switzerland – Spain half time
Luxembourg v Northern Ireland – Northern Ireland Over 0.5 goals

Croatia v Portugal – Both teams to score, yes

Nations League match at Stadion Poljud, Split
TV: Viaplay on Youtube

Croatia welcome Portugal to Split on Monday night and will be eager to get their shock loss to Scotland out of their system. The hosts failed to impress at the Euros in the summer and of their five games since have won two, drawn one, and lost two.

Their home form has seen them winning four and losing one, scoring a healthy seven goals while conceding just two.

Portugal have been very impressive over their Nations League games, winning four and drawing one so far. Over their last five away games, not including the Euros, they’ve won three, drawn one and lost one, scoring 10 goals.

You’d expect the away side to take the points here but they’re already through and Craotia at home are still make formidable opposition. We’re backing both teams to get on the scoresheet.

6/10
Yes Both Teams To Score

Poland v Scotland – Poland to win

Nations League match at Stadion Narodowy, Warsaw
TV: Viaplay on Youtube

Poland can’t catch Croatia above them even with a win here, as their goal difference and record against the Croats means they’re sure of finishing behind them. However, after that 5-1 humiliation at the hands of Portugal on Friday night, like Croatia above, a reaction will be demanded by manager Michal Probierz and the home fans.

Their home form is rather good. Indeed, the Poles have only lost one of their last 11 games played on Polish soil.

Scotland, of course, beat Croatia on Friday night, but that was only their second win in 10 games, and the other one was against Gibraltar, so that doesn’t really count. Away from home, they’ve won just one last seven games, so you’d have to fancy the hosts based on their strong home results.

23/20
Poland Match Odds

Serbia v Denmark – Serbia to win

Nations League match at Gradski Stadion, Leskovac
TV: Viaplay on Youtube

Serbia have to win here, as they’re two points behind Denmark in the standings. A draw for the away side will see them making their way into the playoffs. The hosts have won just one of their last five games though, drawing two, and losing two.

On home soil, they’ve won two, drawn two, and lost one, scoring eight and conceding five.

Denmark began the group well, beating both Switzerland and Serbia but have only chalked up one point over their three games since. Their away form isn’t great, they’ve won two of their last five, drawing one and losing two but those wins were against San Marino and Finland so, they’re not exactly world-beaters.

The hosts have the value here.

6/4
Serbia Match Odds

Spain v Switzerland – Spain half time

Nations League match at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez Lopéz, Tenerife
TV: Viaplay on Youtube

Neither side has anything to play for here. Spain ran away with it in Group 4, winning four and drawing one, while the Swiss are rock bottom with just two draws and three losses to their name.

Spain manager, Luis de la Fuente, is set to blood a few names here, and his Swiss counterpart, Murat Yakin, is likely to do the same since they’re already relegated, and things can’t get much worse.

With that being said, a few players for both sides are going to want to impress so we could see a decent match, up until the substitutions begin in the second half that is. Spain have been leading at halftime in three of their last four games, and there’s some decent value in that market.

10/11
Spain Half-Time Result

Luxembourg v Northern Ireland – Northern Ireland Over 0.5 goals

Nations League match at Stade de Luxembourg, Luxembourg
TV: Viaplay on Youtube

Northern Ireland will take top spot with at least a draw here as Bulgaria’s goal difference means they’ll be able to match them for points but not for goals. Luxembourg are doomed to finish bottom of the pile with just two points collected from their five games.

The Ulstermen have won three, drawn one, and lost one over their respective five matches, scoring a healthy nine goals while conceding just one. Their away form isn’t great so we’re going to play this one safely and exploit their goal-scoring record, so we’re backing them to score at least a goal.
