There’s plenty more Nations League action on Sunday as the final round fixtures begin, and football tipster Tom Desborough has found four value picks from the 5pm games.
There’s action from Finland, Austria, and Norway as the teams look to secure promotion to a higher group or avoid relegation in this International “competition” that we all care about.
So, let’s get into it…
Nations League tips
5pm – Finland v Greece – Greece to win to nil
5pm – Austria v Slovenia – Marco Arnautovic to score
5pm – Norway v Kazakhstan – Norway -1, Erling Haaland to score

Finland v Greece – Greece to win to nil
TV: Viaplay on Youtube, 5pm
Greece’s perfect Nations League record ended on Thursday via a 3-0 defeat to an England side out for revenge. Ivan Jovanovic’s team couldn’t replicate their upset win at Wembley, losing 3-0 in Athens.
If the Euro 2004 winners want to top the group and gain promotion, they must better the Three Lions’ result against Ireland. They can take inspiration from their recent away record of three wins from three.
Finland have nothing but pride to play for, but their recent performances have been uninspiring. They have lost their last five Nations League fixtures, including a 2-0 defeat to Greece in September.
A similar result could be on the cards here.
Austria v Slovenia – Marko Arnautovic to score
TV: Viaplay on Youtube, 5pm
Ralf Rangnick’s side currently top their Nations League group, and a win here would cement promotion to the next stage. They secured a comfortable 2-0 win away in Kazakhstan last time, winning their third Nations League game in a row.
Slovenia suffered a 4-1 thrashing against Norway on Thursday, making their chances of promotion extremely slim. A trip to in-form Austria won’t offer them a great opportunity to rectify their form, and they may struggle.
Michael Gregoritsch got the nod up front for the hosts on Thursday, but former West Ham and Stoke man Marko Arnautovic could come back to claim his starting spot. The 35-year-old has three goals in nine games for Austria in 2024, and this game will be the perfect opportunity to increase that tally.
Norway v Kazakhstan – Norway -1, Erling Haaland to score
TV: Viaplay on Youtube, 5pm
With the talent they possess, it has taken Norway a lot longer than expected to click and perform on the international stage, but they looked to have cracked it with a 4-1 win against Slovenia on Thursday.
The result was their first away win in this Nations League round, with a 4-1 defeat away in Austria and a draw in Kazakhstan on their records.
However, their home form has been much less hectic, with wins against Austria and Slovenia. So you would expect Stale Solbakken’s side to win comfortably against already relegated Kazakhstan and secure promotion, and I would back an alternative handicap for them to do so.
Erling Haaland scored his fourth goal of this Nations League campaign on Thursday and, unsurprisingly, will have an excellent opportunity to add to that on Sunday.
