Lincoln & Draw double chance

Lincoln make the over five-hour coach journey to Exeter hoping to extend what has been a strong run away from home over several months. In fact, the Imps have only suffered two away losses in all competitions since the beginning of the year.

The visitors are also on a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions, which includes four victories when netting two or more goals.

Exeter are enjoying a three-match winning streak but there are reasons to suggest they may find it tough maintaining their good run of results. They’ve lost only twice in their past 11 overall but there is a reality that hits home looking at who they’ve faced in league action so far.

The Grecians have only faced four top-half clubs this season in league action, losing three of those. Clearly, they’ve not been tested as much as they could, and fourth-placed Lincoln will certainly test them.

Also, it cannot be ignored that Exeter tried, and failed, to postpone this match due to late international call-ups with players being drafted in as replacements. The fact is they don’t want this game, which may just well open the door for the visitors to gain a positive result.

Lincoln And Draw Double Chance

Lincoln 4 or more corners

No team has scored more goals via set pieces in League One than Lincoln. It is, therefore of pretty big importance that they earn a few corners across the 90 minutes on Saturday. They also top the league in relation to the number of headed goals scored, and corners provide such an opportunity to utilise that strength.

Michael Skubala’s side play with a wing back system, so clearly getting the ball into wide areas is a big part of their tactical plan. Those players will continually charge up and down the wing at every opportunity.

It is therefore no big shock to see them score as many headers as they do. Charging to the by-line and swinging in crosses is one natural way of earning corners, especially with the opponents keen to charge them down.

This is a team averaging 5.57 corners in league action across the campaign, whereas Exeter are conceding an average of 5.23 corners.

1/3
4 Or More Corners Away Team Over Corners

Tristan Crama to have 1+ shots

There can be no doubt that Tristan Crama is a major part of the Exeter squad. He has started all bar one of their league encounters this season and is a commanding presence at the heart of Gary Caldwell’s defence. The on-loan Brentford centre back is an especially big presence in the opponent’s box down to his strength and clever movement.

Despite being a defender, Crama is the joint second-highest league scorer for Exeter, with only Kamari Doyle achieving more.

The Frenchman is also the highest non-attacking player in the team to have the most shots in league action. Crama has scored two goals from his only two shots on target, which suggests how clinical he is when getting the chance.

We’ve touched upon how strong Exeter are on corners and Crama is a huge reason as to why. He has had 11 shots across 12 league appearances in 2024/25, which is no bad return at all for a defender.

8/11
Tristan Crama Player To Have 1 Or More Shots

Conor McGrandles to commit 2+ more fouls

With Lincoln holding midfielder Ethan Erhahon still out of action through injury, it has forced a bit of a reshuffle in this area of the pitch. Erhahon is highly rated and will likely move to a higher level over the next year or two, but there is coverage in that department.

Conor McGrandles has slotted into this role recently having mostly played a little higher up, however, he has not looked out of place. Nevertheless, it means showcasing a different side to his game and it is has meant committing fouls is a more regular occurrence for the Scot.

McGrandles, currently in his third spell with Lincoln, has recorded an average of 1.50 fouls per league game since reverting to a slightly deeper role. Even over the longer scale of his previous eight games, the midfielder has made two or more fouls in half of those. This proves he has form in that respect, even when he played in a more offensive role.

Lincoln as a team can certainly be described as one that is prepared to really get stuck into the action. They are averaging 13.90 fouls committed per league contest this season, a figure that can only be bettered by Wigan. These can include tactical fouls, something The Imps are pretty canny at doing when the time is right.

11/10
Conor McGrandles Player To Commit 2 Or More Fouls

Jack Moylan to have 1+ shots on target

Lincoln attacker Jack Moylan recently spoke out at his frustration for starting on the bench recently, however he is doing his cause to start more regularly no harm at all. The 23-year-old has scored two and assisted one over his last three appearances for the club. Both goals came in cup competitions, and he should now be rewarded with a starting berth in league action.

He has only started four league games this season but this has not stopped him being ranked fourth in the squad in terms of number of shots. He also has a 50% success rate in terms of hitting the target from those attempts, so he is certainly accurate in that respect.

The young Irishman has often impressed as a substitute, and Michael Skubala can surely not ignore him any longer having netted off the bench at Bristol Rovers last weekend.
