I’m working for the man here… do I toe the company line or go with my heart and say England win this game!? Unfortunately for our Irish friends, family, and supporters, I’ll go with my head. England will have too much for Ireland.
They will try to stop England from playing their game and pose a threat, as they did in Dublin, but even with eight pullouts, England have too much quality. I want to see Jarred Bowen get amongst it and Ollie Watkins to get another chance.
It could be a big week for these players to make their international mark. I have been there with England when you get only five or ten minutes off the bench, but these players should get plenty of minutes in these games.
With so many starters out, the fringe players have to take this opportunity, and I think they will be up for it. So, I’m backing a 3-1 England win.
I think Ireland will get a chance and I can see them scoring. Ollie Watkins deserves his chance at a run in an England shirt so I’m backing him to score.
