It’s Lee Carsley’s final curtain as boss of the senior men’s England team and he has assembled a rag-tag bunch for the Nations League trip to Greece, amid several dropouts, for the last international break of the year.
Former England midfielder turned Paddy Power ambassador Joe Cole is back to discuss Thursday’s match and he reckons Carsley’s going to get his leaving party started style. So, let’s get Joe’s Greece v England betting tips.

This is a fantastic game. I went to the England v Greece game and I was really impressed with Greece, I thought they were brilliant.
Lee Carsley’s done an admirable job, and it has been a very difficult job to do. He’s got three wins out of four and he tried something in the Greece game.
He tried to implement something and it didn’t work but Greece were great on the night and they caught us cold. This game will be different, he’s gone with players he knows which is always good.
If you look at these two games in isolation, that Wembley defeat is recent enough that those players will still be burned by watching Greece celebrate with that away end.
Those things matter as a footballer and a competitor. It matters if you’re pulling on an England shirt and someone’s come to Wembley and turned you over.
It’s recent enough for those players to remember trudging off at Wembley for them to think, ‘let’s go to their backyard and do something.’ It will be hostile, it will be tough but I think England will have enough.
I fancy England to just win the game in a tight 2-0 win. I’m also going to go for a stagnant first half where it’s a draw and then for England to get it over the line in the second half.
In terms of a goal-scorer it’s a hard one because we have no idea who’s going to play! I’ll play it a bit safe and stick with predicting the outcome here.
