Juventus v Arsenal – Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals
Champions League match at the Stadio Comunale Vittorio Pozzo Lamarmora, Biella
TV: DAZN, 5:45pm
Both Juventus and Arsenal have won one and lost one in the Champions League so far this season, but the betting odds make Arsenal the clear favourites.
The Gunners are in decent shape, too. They’ve won three of their last five fixtures, drawn one, and lost one. However, away from home, things haven’t been so rosy. They’ve won just two of their last six away games, drawing one and losing two, but they have averaged a goal per game over those matches.
Juve’s results are very strong at home. They’ve won four of their last five, scoring 12 and conceding just four. Their home Champions League results are good, too. They’ve lost just one of their last 13, two if we count penalties.
Both teams should be scoring here, and both are certainly good enough to score a second.
8pm Bayern Munich v Valerenga – Bayern to win & both teams to score
Champions League match at the FC Bayern Campus Platz 1, Munich
TV: DAZN, 8pm
Bayern Munich have won both of its Champions League games so far, while Valerenga have lost both of their fixtures. The Munichers tend to score plenty of goals; they’ve netted eight over their last four matches in all competitions, while on home soil, they have bagged a rather impressive 18 goals.
Can a case be made for Valerenga here? Well, not to win, but they’re also not shy in front of goal too. They’ve scored 12 over their last five games and have scored 11 over their last five on their travels.
The hosts have also been conceding. Indeed, they’ve kept just one clean sheet over their last five at home and just two over their last 10 at home in the Champions League. Let’s go for the value here and back the away side to score, but the hosts to take the three points.
8pm Man City v Hammarby – Both teams to score, no
Champions League match at the Joie Stadium, Manchester
TV: DAZN, 8pm
Man City have won both of their Champions League games thus far, while Hammarby have won one and lost one. City are enjoying a mighty run of form. They’ve won 11 of their last 12 fixtures, drawing the other one and over their last five have won them all, scoring 14 goals.
On home turf, they’ve won six on the trot, scoring 14 goals and kept five clean sheets.
Hammary have won four of their last five and three of their last five on the road, but there’s quite the gulf in class when it comes to comparing City’s usual opponents and Hammarby’s, and with such a strong record of clean sheets at home, we’re going only one side scoring here.
