Football Accumulator Tips: Saturday’s 26/1 Premier League acca from the 3pm kick-offs

Our tipster Andrew Beasley's got Saturday afternoon's PL games sorted.

With no lunchtime game on Saturday, the Premier League action for this weekend kicks off with four games at 3pm.

On paper, they might not look like the most exciting match-ups. But in three of them, a win for one side will lift them above the other in the table, including in the ultra-important basement battle between the bottom two teams.

The leading four candidates to be the next manager to leave (be fired) are in action, too. It could be a very big, bad day for one of them. Here’s are PP football writer Andrew Beasley‘s picks for each game, which you can put into an accumulator to liven up your Saturday afternoon.

Premier League Acca Tips

Brentford v Bournemouth – Brentford to win
Crystal Palace v Fulham – Fulham to win
West Ham v Everton – Over 3.5 goals
Wolves v Southampton – Both teams to score

Brentford v Bournemouth – Brentford to win

We begin in west London, where Brentford will want to beat Bournemouth to get over throwing away three points in injury time at Fulham on Monday.

The Cherries are a tough team to read. The underlying numbers suggest they should be around fourth, and they have recently beaten Arsenal and Manchester City. Almost all their good work has been at home, though – their only win on the road came at Everton, and they were 2-0 down after 86 minutes in that game.

Thomas Frank’s men have been even more extreme. They are second bottom of the away standings, with five defeats from five, but lead the home game table as they are also unbeaten in the last five meetings with Bournemouth, back Brentford to win.

Crystal Palace v Fulham – Fulham to win

Next, we go across town to Selhurst Park for a London derby. Crystal Palace has one home win this season and takes on Fulham, who have one on the road. Four of the last five clashes have ended all square, making predicting this harder.

With only Ipswich having drawn more games than the Eagles this season, a stalemate is a distinct possibility. It’s hard not to lean towards Fulham, though, as the expected goal stats suggest they’ve been the second-best team in the Premier League so far this season. For real, honestly.

If that’s too nerdy for you, just three teams have a better shot difference than Marco Silva’s boys, with only Liverpool and Tottenham having a wider gap between big chances for and against. Fulham are the real deal in 2024/25, so should be able to get a win at Palace.

West Ham v Everton – Over 3.5 goals

Our next game is a David Moyes derby between West Ham and Everton, a fixture which ended in a 0-1 away win for the Toffees last season. The Hammers fought back with a 3-1 victory at Goodison Park in March, and there could be a similar level of goal-scoring on Saturday.

Four goals, Paddy Power? Four? That’s insane. Maybe it is, but maybe it isn’t.

West Ham’s home games this season have all featured at least three goals, with over 3.5 expected in four of the five. While Everton’s matches on the road have been quieter, they have suffered 4-0 and 3-2 defeats.

And although they’re better than Ipswich, the margin isn’t that wide, and the Tractor Boys lost 4-1 in east London recently. The underlying data suggests it’s almost a coin flip whether there’s four goals in this game or not. At the price on offer, it’s worth the risk.

Wolves v Southampton – Both teams to score

The final match is the biggest of the four, with rock-bottom Wolves hosting 19th-placed Southampton. There are three points, and a manager’s job is on the line here. We have an international break after this, and you know how chairmen roll.

The visitors have been the worst away team in the top flight in 2024/25, having lost all five games with three goals scored and 11 conceded. However, every team they have faced is currently 12th or better in the league table. It doesn’t mean they’ll win here, but Southampton will have taken plenty of heart from beating lowly Everton last week.

As for Wolves, it’s likely win or bust for Gary O’Neil in what should theoretically be his team’s easiest fixture of the season. It would take a brave person, or a fool, to back either of these clubs to get over the line with a victory though.

Take both teams to score instead. It has paid out in Wolves’ last nine league games and with the defences on show here, the trend should continue.
