The Soccer Soothsayer's predictions are locked and loaded.

Mark Lawrenson's Premier League betting predictions

The 2024/25 Premier League season is in full swing and Paddy’s pal Mark Lawrenson is back to gaze into his crystal ball every single matchday.

The Soccer Soothsayer has read the signs and crunched the numbers to produce his Premier League predictions over the coming days. Let’s see what the future holds…

Saturday 3pm: Brentford v Bournemouth

Brentford almost held on against Fulham on Monday. It was unbelievable how that game ended but they’re very, very good at home. This may be after the Lord Mayor’s Show for Bournemouth after they beat Manchester City last weekend. Brentford 2-1 Bournemouth.

Saturday 3pm: Crystal Palace v Fulham

Crystal Palace got a point at Wolves after going 1-0 up and then 2-1 down which wasn’t too bad. Fulham obviously left it late against Brentford and I think they’re just the better team of the two. Crystal Palace 0-1 Fulham.

Saturday 3pm: West Ham v Everton

Everton should have won against Southampton and that ended their unbeaten run. West Ham are starting to show signs of life so I fancy them here. West Ham 2-0 Everton.

Saturday 3pm: Wolves v Southampton

Southampton finally won last week against Everton but Wolves have started to look a little bit better. I can’t believe they still haven’t won yet and they won’t get a better chance than this. Wolves 2-1 Southampton.

Saturday 5.30pm: Brighton v Man City

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Manchester City are so strange at the moment. They only played for 20 minutes at Bournemouth and got thumped at Sporting in the week. Pep Guardiola will be gong mad so they should bounce back. It will be though though, if Brighton had been able to make it 2-0 against Liverpool when they were on top last weekend I think they would have won. Brighton 1-2 Man City.

Saturday 8pm: Liverpool v Aston Villa

TV: TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate

I think Liverpool will win this one, Aston Villa have been slipping a bit recently. That goal they lost with against Brugge was crazy but it was a bit dopey too with Tyrone Mings picking the ball up. Liverpool have been quiet in the first half and then turning it on in the second so they might even come from behind but it will be close. Liverpool 2-1 Aston Villa.

Sunday 2pm: Man Utd v Leicester

As poorly as Manchester United are playing they’ve got to beat Leicester. They thrashed them the other day in the Carabao and I can’t see this being any different. Manchester United 2-0 Leicester.

Sunday 2pm: Nott’m Forest v Newcastle

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Newcastle had a good win against Arsenal last time, they scored early and played well. Arsenal hardly created any chances in the whole game which was impressive from Newcastle. Nottingham Forest are just flying, its been so impressive. It’s hard to split these two at the moment. Nottingham Forest 1-1 Newcastle.

Sunday 2pm: Tottenham v Ipswich

When you’re away in Turkey during the week this is exactly the kind of fixture Tottenham would want next. Ipswich were winning last time out and dropped points with a red card and some VAR nonsense as well. Spurs always score at home, I’m not sure Ipswich will. Tottenham 2-0 Ipswich.

Sunday 4.30pm: Chelsea v Arsenal

TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League

Arsenal will be disappointed with their results of late, especially with Man City struggling somewhat. Cheslea were well worth their point at Old Trafford, they looked a better team than Manchester United which isn’t saying a lot really.

I’m going to go for Arsenal because I think they might do a job on Chelsea. I’m still not convinced by Chelsea, they look a bit too easy to play against, but they are moving in the right direction. Chelsea 0-2 Arsenal.
