The first game on this Mega Acca sees a much-improved Salford City side face 23rd-place Carlisle United in League Two.

Karl Robinson’s men are unbeaten in their last five matches following three 2-1 victories over Swindon Town, Colchester United and Shrewsbury Town while drawing 1-1 and 2-2 with Crewe Alexandra and Fleetwood Town.

Carlisle have lost five of their last six matches, with the anomaly being a 1-1 home draw with Harrogate Town on 19th October. The Cumbrians have suffered two 2-0 defeats to Wigan Athletic, losing 4-0, 3-1 and 1-0 to Wimbledon, Walsall and Cheltenham Town.

Leeds v QPR – Leeds to win

Leeds United host QPR at Elland Road in a battle between third and 23rd in the Championship.

Daniel Farke’s side suffered a shock 1-0 loss at Millwall on Wednesday night after previously earning three wins from their last four matches, with all three of these victories coming at home against the likes of Plymouth Argyle (3-0), Watford (2-1) and Sheffield United (2-0).

Leeds’ other result in this run was a 0-0 stalemate against Bristol City at Ashton Gate. QPR have been in dismal form, having suffered 4-1 and 2-1 defeats to Middlesbrough and Portsmouth on either side of draws against Coventry City (1-1), Burnley (0-0) and Sunderland (0-0).

Sunderland v Coventry – Sunderland to win

Sunderland takes on Coventry City at the Stadium of Light in a meeting between first and 17th in the standings.

The Black Cats have been held to consecutive 0-0 away draws at Preston North End and Coventry City in their last two outings after earning solid victories over Oxford United (2-0), Luton Town (2-1) and Hull City (1-0).

Coventry’s recent progress was halted via a 2-1 home loss to Derby on Wednesday, resulting in the sacking of Mark Robins. The Sky Blues beat Middlesbrough 3-0 and Luton 3-2 after a 1-1 draw with QPR and a narrow 1-0 loss at Preston.

Birmingham City v Northampton Town – Birmingham City to win

Second-place Birmingham City meets 18th-place Northampton Town in what is expected to be a mismatch in League One.

Birmingham have won four of their last five matches, following 1-0 and 7-1 victories over Sutton United and Fulham after a 1-1 draw at Mansfield. In this sequence, Chris Davies’ men have also earned impressive 2-0 and 3-1 wins against Bolton Wanderers and Lincoln City.

Northampton beat Leicester City’s Under 21s 3-0 in midweek after suffering a humiliating FA Cup exit to Kettering Town (2-1) at the weekend. The Cobblers had previously suffered a 2-1 loss to Lincoln, following a 3-0 win at home to Crawley after a 1-1 draw with Stockport County.

Peterborough United v Cambridge United – Peterborough United to win

A Cambridgeshire derby occurs at London Road on Saturday as Peterborough United goes up against Cambridge United.

The Posh look to have refound their form, having thrashed Crystal Palace’s Under 21s 4-1 in midweek after earning 4-2 and 5-1 victories over Newport County and Blackpool on either side of a 1-0 away defeat to Bolton Wanderers.

Despite sitting 22nd in League One, Cambridge have won all of their last five matches, following 1-0 cup wins over Chelsea’s Under 21s and Woking, after earning league victories against Burton Albion (1-0), Stevenage (2-0) and Wigan Athletic (2-0).

Wigan Athletic v Wycombe Wanderers – Wycombe Wanderers to win

League leaders Wycombe Wanderers travel to the Brick Community Stadium, where they’ll meet 19th-place Wigan Athletic.

The Latics have won just two of their last five matches, with both victories coming over Carlisle United via 2-0 scorelines in the EFL Trophy and FA Cup.

Between the games above, Wigan suffered 2-0 and 2-1 defeats to Cambridge and Mansfield Town while drawing 2-2 away at Blackpool.

Wycombe have won all five matches, beating Stockport County 5-0, York City 3-2, Leyton Orient 3-0, Burton Albion 3-2, and Peterborough United 3-1.

Walsall v Crewe Alexandra – Walsall to win

Second-place Walsall go head-to-head with fifth-place Crewe Alexandra in what could be a contentious contest in League Two.

Walsall have won three of their last four matches following excellent 4-1, 3-1, and 2-1 victories over Grimsby Town, Carlisle United, and Bolton Wanderers. They also drew 0-0 away at Accrington Stanley.

Crewe suffered a shock 1-0 FA Cup exit to Dagenham & Redbridge last weekend after earning 3-1 and 1-0 league wins over Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town.

Before these results, Alexandra had drawn 1-1 with both Salford City and Doncaster Rovers.

Aberdeen v Dundee – Aberdeen to win

Our next game comes from the Scottish Premiership, as Aberdeen takes on Dundee.

Aberdeen are second in the standings with 28 points from 10 matches. However, they enter this match with a heavy 6-0 League Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic.

Before that loss, the Dons had earned superb 2-1, 1-0 and 3-2 victories over Rangers, Dundee United and Hearts while drawing 2-2 at Celtic.

Dundee have earned just six points from their last five league games, following 3-2 and 1-0 wins over Kilmarnock and Motherwell.

Their other three matches in this sequence have resulted in 2-0, 2-1 and 3-2 defeats to Celtic, St. Johnstone and Kilmarnock.

Brighton v Manchester City – Manchester City to win

Premier League champions Manchester City make the trip to Brighton, with Pep Guardiola’s men desperately needing a victory.

Brighton are winless in their last three matches. They have suffered back-to-back defeats to Liverpool in the Premier League and EFL Cup after a 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In the run-up to the latter game, the Seagulls beat Newcastle United 1-0 and Tottenham Hotspur 3-2.

Manchester City have lost three matches on the bounce following their heavy 4-1 loss at Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday night, following 2-1 away defeats to AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur.

Before the matches above, City had earned 1-0 and 5-0 victories over Southampton and Sparta Praha.

Liverpool v Aston Villa – Liverpool to win

The final game on this Mega Acca sees Liverpool looking to maintain their excellent start to life under Arne Slot when they face Aston Villa in Saturday’s 8pm kick-off.

The Reds are top of the table heading into game week 10. They have won four and drawn one of their last five matches.

The Anfield club have managed superb 1-0 and 4-0 Champions League victories over RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen on either side of a draw with Arsenal (2-2), as well as league and cup victories over Brighton via 2-1 and 3-2 scorelines.

Aston Villa are winless in their last four matches following their 2-0 win over Bologna in the Champions League.

Unai Emery’s men have since been held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth while suffering 2-1, 4-1 and 1-0 defeats to Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Club Brugge.
