The UEFA Champions League continues on Wednesday, and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will face Simeone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan in another tough test.
After back-to-back league defeats to Bournemouth and Newcastle, the Gunners desperately need a lift and a UCL victory in Milan would suffice.
Our tipster, Sam Farley, analyses the markets to determine the value of Inter Milan v Arsenal betting. Here are our three best bets!

Draw
Arsenal are on a sticky run of games. They have won just two of their past five games and are fresh off an abject 1-0 defeat to Newcastle. They still have quality in the team and a good defence, but without Martin Odegaard, they’re struggling to break teams down.
Arsenal’s only away win in their last five games on the road came against Championship side Preston, which shows how poor they have been away from home.
Meanwhile, Inter come in on an eight-game unbeaten streak, but they’ll be aware of Arsenal’s danger. Both teams have started their Champions League campaigns well, and a draw would be a good result for both clubs, given their current situations.
If Arsenal were at their best, they would win this, but they’re not quite at that level, so they should be able to escape with a win.
Under 2.5 goals
Arsenal’s main issue has been scoring goals, and anyone who saw them toil against Newcastle knows that they never really looked threatening. The positive news is that they have a fit and healthy backline, and with Ben White, William Salibia, Gabriel, and Jurrien Timber, they should be able to keep Inter in check.
Inter have been free-scoring in Serie A, but this defence is a step up and one they won’t be able to run wild against. Under 2.5 goals have been scored in 60% of Arsenal’s league games this season, as well as all three Champions League ties, and we should see this trend repeat.
Marcus Thuram 1+ shots on target
Last season, we saw Marcus Thuram have a reasonable campaign as Inter won the league, followed by a poor Euro 2024. He’s started this season in excellent form and looks more prolific in front of goal than at any point in his career.
He’s had seven goals in 11 Serie A games and a goal in this competition, too. He’s in good form and has had a shot on target in five of his past six home games across either the Champions League or Serie A.
Kai Havertz to commit 2+ fouls
We’re also going to back Arsenal’s Kai Havertz to commit two or more fouls. The German can either be deployed as the nine or, as has sometimes been the case, a bit deeper. The 25-year-old has played well this season but has developed a reputation for giving away free kicks despite not being a dirty player.
Through 10 Premier League games, he’s averaged 1.9 fouls per game, and in Europe, that number has risen to 2.3. We’ve also seen him commit two or more fouls in five of his past six games on the road in either the Champions League or Premier League. In a tough battle at the San Siro, there’s a real chance this trend will continue.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan to be fouled 1+ times
There is going to be a reunion for Henrikh Mkhitaryan on Wednesday night. The former Arsenal man will face the team he joined in a swap move with Alexis Sanchez. The Armenian has become a key member of his Inter team despite being in his mid-30s, starting every league game and most Champions League games.
His role is to dictate play and keep Inter moving forward from midfield. Given this role, he will likely be fouled in this game, but the data backs this up. He’s being fouled 2.42 times per 90 minutes played in the Champions League.
