Football Accumulator Tips: Sunday night’s 13/1 Punt from Europe & the US

For Sunday's Acca, we're heading to France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and the good old US of A.

European Football Accumulator

Sunday night’s football menu is serving up some meaty-looking fixtures with the likes of Inter, Marseille, Porto and Bilbao involved. We’ll also be looking into the MLS playoffs too.

Our football tipster, Paddy Murphy, is here with value on his mind and has five value picks for us.

With this being a five-fold Acca, too, Paddy’s footy acca betting offer kicks in, and we’ll get our stake back if just one leg lets us down.

Let’s get right into it.

Sunday’s Footy Acca tips

7:45pm Nantes v Marseille – Marseille to win
7:45pm Inter v Venezia – Inter to win & over 2.5 goals
8pm Athletic Bilbao v Betis – Athletic Bilbao to win
8:30pm Porto v Estoril – Porto to win to nil
9:30pm NY Red Bulls v Columbus Crew – Over 2.5 goals

Nantes v Marseille – Marseille to win

Ligue Un match at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes
TV: Ligue1Pass, 7:45pm

Nantes haven’t won a game of football since the last day of August, but the quality of France’s Ligue 1 is such that, at the time of writing, there are still six teams lower than them in the league positions. They’ve won once at home this season, drawn three, lost one, scored six, and conceded five.

Marseille have won two, drawn one, and lost two of their last five league matches. However, away from home, they’ve been rather good, winning four and losing one, scoring 16 goals and conceding five. With that record against a poor home side, we’re going with the Phocaeans.

Inter v Venezia – Inter to win & over 2.5 goals

Serie A match at the San Siro, Milan
TV: TNT Sports, 7:45pm

Simeone Inzaghi’s Inter are in frightfully good form of late. The hosts have now gone seven games undefeated in all competitions. In the Serie A, they’ve only lost once so far, in a hard-fought derby against Milan. On home soil, they’ve won three, drawn one, and lost one, scoring 14 and conceding eight.

Venezia are third from bottom at the time of writing and has won just two league games all season. Over their last five, they’ve won one, drawn one, and lost three. On their Italian excursions, they have drawn two and lost three, scoring four goals and conceding 10.

There’s little doubt the hosts will win here, but their defence hasn’t been as bastion-like as it has been over previous seasons, so they could concede. That being said, they’ve been lethal in front of goal, so this one will likely end 3-0, 2-1, or 3-1.

Athletic Bilbao v Betis – Athletic Bilbao to win

La Liga match at the San Memes Barria, Bilbao
TV: Premier Sports, LaLigaTV, 8pm

Both sides come into this in pretty robust form, and we should see a bit of an old ding-dong. The hosts have won three, drawn one, and lost one over their last five fixtures. At home in the league, they share the same results, scoring nine and conceding four.

Betis have also won three, drawn one, and lost one recently. However, their away La Liga form is shockingly bad. They’ve registered just one win over their last five on their travels, drawn two, and lost two, scoring just three goals and conceding five.

The San Memes Barria is one of the toughest venues to get a good result at when travelling. Couple that with Betis’ weak away form, and we just have to back the hosts.

Porto v Estoril – Porto to win to nil

Primeira Liga match at Estádio Do Dragão, Porto
TV: TrillerTV, 8:30pm

Manchester United fans are quite pleased with the appointment of Sporting manager Rúben Amorim at Old Trafford. Porto fans are pretty happy about it, too. At the time of writing, they’re six points behind Sporting with a game in hand, and they’ll be banking on taking the three points here.

The hosts have won six of their last seven, drawing the other one, and have only lost once this season in the Primeira Liga. On home soil, they’ve won five from five in the league, scoring a healthy 13 and conceding just two.

Estoril have collected a measly two points on their league travels this season thanks to two draws and three losses, scoring just three goals over those five games while conceding six. Porto shouldn’t even break a sweat here.

NY Red Bulls v Columbus Crew – Over 2.5 goals

MLS Playoff match at the Red Bull Arena, New Jersey
TV: AppleTV, 9:30pm

The NY Red Bulls won the first leg on Tuesday, thanks to a 0-1 win in Ohio. The hosts are the favourites here, but their home form makes for some dire reading. Sandro Schwarz’s side have failed to win any of their last five home MLS fixtures, drawing two and losing three.

Columbus have won three and lost two over their last five in the league, while on the road they have won three and drawn two. Based on that, you’d almost give it to the away side. However, this is a Playoff game, and the hosts are sitting on a one-nil lead.

Looking at goals makes the better sense here, seeing as the hosts have scored nine over their last five MLS games and six over their last four at home.

For the Crew, they’ve scored 12 over their last five in the league and eight over their last five away games. With so much on the line, we reckon we should see at least three goals.

Sunday’s football tips

Nantes v Marseille – Marseille to win
Inter v Venezia – Inter to win & over 2.5 goals
Athletic Bilbao v Betis – Athletic Bilbao to win
Porto v Estoril – Porto to win to nil
NY Red Bulls v Columbus Crew – Over 2.5 goals
