Football Tips: Our 13/1 Multi-Match Bet Builder for Monday’s action

We've studied the statistics and form so you don't have to!

The weekend may be over but there’s still plenty of football to enjoy on Monday night, with Blackpool v Wigan in League One taking centre stage.

There’s also European games which feature Porto and Athletic Bilbao. Our tipster James Walters has had a look at the markets to see where the value lies. Here’s our Multi-Match Bet Builder!

Monday’s football tips

8pm: Blackpool v Wigan
Under 3.5 goals

8pm: Mallorca v Athletic Bilbao
Draw
Under 2.5 goals
Nico Williams to have 2 or more shots

8:15pm: AVS v Porto
Porto to win
Both teams to score – no

8pm: Blackpool v Wigan

Under 3.5 goals

Blackpool and Wigan face off in League One on Monday night with both sides struggling to find form so far this season. The home team have lost their last three in the league, while Wigan have lost their last two.

Blackpool have been entertaining this campaign and they have managed to score 19 times in their 12 matches but they’ve also conceded 23 times in that period. Wigan, meanwhile, have scored 10 and conceded just nine in the same amount of games.

It’s impossible to pick a winner out of these two former Premier League sides as they’ve been as bad as each other.

Instead, we’ll side with under 3.5 goals, which has landed in 11 of Wigan’s 12 League One outings this season. Their games average just 1.6 goals per outing and while Blackpool’s games have seen more action, neither are in form in front of goal.

8pm: Mallorca v Athletic Bilbao

Draw

We’re heading from Blackpool to Spain now as Mallorca host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga.

Both sides have impressed this season – they actually have the exact same record of won five, drawn two and lost three – and they sit just outside the Champions League spots.

Mallorca have won four of their last five and Athletic Bilbao are unbeaten in four of their last five outings. Over that period, they are the third and fourth most in-form teams behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. Not bad, eh?

We’re struggling to separate the sides so the smart thing to do is back the draw. It’s always a decent value selection and neither team will want to suffer defeat and lose ground in the top-four race.

Draw Match Odds

Under 2.5 goals

We’re on a draw and backing under 2.5 goals also makes plenty of sense.

Mallorca’s La Liga games have averaged 1.8 goals, while their home tally is even worse at 1.4 goals per outing, which is the second worst in the league.

Athletic Bilbao’s matches have averaged 2.8 goals but it’s hard to see a goal fest between these sides who could easily cancel each other out.

4/9
Under 2.5 Goals Over/Under 2.5 Goals

Nico Williams to have 2 or more shots

Nico Williams was sensational for Spain at the Euros in the summer as they went all the way at the expense of England.

The 22-year-old is a constant threat and he has scored two and set up to goals for Athletic Bilbao this season.

We like the look of Williams to have 2 or more shots, which has landed in six of his eight La Liga games this season. He only played 46 minutes in one of those matches that it didn’t land so the numbers add up.

4/9
Nico Williams Player To Have 2 Or More Shots

8:15pm: AVS v Porto

Porto to win

Finally, we’re in Portugal for AVS v Porto. The away side are battling with Sporting Lisbon for the title this season and they come into Monday’s clash having won their last four outings.

We’re on Porto to win as they look to close the gap on Sporting, who are the only team to beat Vitor Bruno’s side in the Primeira Liga this campaign.

Porto have won seven of their eight outings while scoring 18 times in that period. AVS, meanwhile, are mid table and have won just two of their nine outings. All signs point to an away win.

2/9
Porto Match Odds

Both teams to score – no

We’re expecting a Porto victory on Monday and it could be a routine night for Bruno’s men against AVS.

Backing both teams to score – no is an obvious pick when you consider that Porto have conceded just four times in their eight games so far, with two of those coming in their 2-0 defeat against Sporting earlier in the season.

AVS have scored just seven goals so far the season and both teams to score has landed in just one of their previous four outings. The stats are in our favour!
