Premier League Tips: Joe Cole’s fancies for Sunday’s action

Joe is all over Sunday's action and he’s expecting a thriller as his former side Chelsea host Newcastle.

We’ve got a proper Super Sunday in the Premier League this weekend. First up is Chelsea v Newcastle at Stamford Bridge before the game of the weekend in Arsenal v Liverpool.

Paddy Power pundit Joe Cole is back with his best bets and he has a couple of player picks in here too, so Paddy’s Super Sub promotion will kick in if they’re replaced during the match and the bet will carry over to their replacements.

Chelsea v Newcastle

Chelsea have been fantastic this season. Enzo Maresca has come in and done a brilliant job because it could have been absolute carnage! He’s handled it really well and shown maturity. It looks like a settled ship for the first time in a while.

They still have some defensive issues and they lost against Manchester City and Liverpool so they’re still slightly behind them but Chelsea are very entertaining this season.

I’m expecting a thriller and I fancy Chelsea to win, which is my NAP of the weekend! If I had to go with a scoreline, I’d say 3-2.

Over 3.5 goals is worth backing as both teams are great going forward while they can be a bit shaky at the back. Newcastle have pace and they can hit Chelsea on the counter, while we know the Blues can score for fun.

I’m also on Nicolas Jackson to score and Anthony Gordon to score.

Jackson has really showed a lot of character and he gives Chelsea an edge while playing on the last defender’s shoulder. He always looks to get in behind and he’s a constant threat.

Gordon to score is also worth backing. I love watching him as you know he’ll always perform.

Arsenal v Liverpool

WHEN: Sunday, October 27th, 16:30
WHERE: The Emirates, London
TV: Sky Sports Premier League & Sky Sports Main Event

Arsenal are in an interesting spot at the moment as they’ve got injuries and William Saliba is suspended for Sunday’s game. They need to navigate their way through this if they are to challenge for the title.

Bukayo Saka might be out and Martin Odegaard is definitely out so I’m siding with the draw. However, if Saka starts, I’d probably side with Arsenal at home.

I can’t see Liverpool scoring more than once and I’m expecting a tight game, so backing under 2.5 goals. A draw isn’t a bad result for the Reds but they might feel this is the perfect time to play Arsenal.

Bearing all of that in mind I like the look of the correct score combination of 0-0 or 1-1.
