Sunday 2pm: West Ham v Manchester United
Over 2.5 goals
Noussair Mazraoui to commit 1 or more fouls

Sunday 2pm: Crystal Palace v Tottenham

Tottenham (-1)

After the last season there was a lot expected of Crystal Palace but they’ve really struggled and find themselves in the relegation zone. They’re one of just four teams yet to win a match and are struggling with any consistency.

Defensively they’re far better than any of the teams around them at the foot of the table but they’ll struggle against a Spurs team who are scoring an average of over two goals per game. One of the most impressive things about this Spurs team is that they are sharing the goals, with eight players having already scored one or more in the league. Goals can come from anywhere in this team and Palace won’t be able to deal with that.

Both teams to score? No

The loss of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich would obviously be hard for any team to deal with, but it’s been surprising just how poor Palace’s attack has looked without the Frenchman. New signing Eddie Nketiah has yet to score and even Jean-Philippe Mateta, who ended last year so well, has scored just twice in eight games.

Palace are currently the lowest scoring team in the Premier League and have managed to bag just five goals in total. To put it into context that’s half of what Wolves, the bottom-placed team in the Premier League, had scored going into this gameweek. Spurs have kept clean sheets in three of their past six games in all competitions and will be hopefully of adding another.

Dominic Solanke to have 1+ shots on target

After injuries stopped Dominic Solanke initially, he’s got back amongst the goals and scored twice in his six Premier League games so far. He’s the focal point of the Tottenham attack and a key part of how they’re playing this season.

He’s averaged 2.3 shots per game and has nine shots on target across his six matches played. Palace are allowing 13.5 shots against per game and if Solanke gets one or two opportunities then it’s highly likely that one or more will be on target.

Sunday 2pm: West Ham v Manchester United

Over 2.5 Goals

Two of the Premier League’s most underperforming clubs meet on Sunday but there’s hope that we could see goals. West Ham will be relying on Michail Antonio up front, who has been far better than the disappointing Niclas Fullkrug, who has been awful since arriving from Dortmund. Manchester United will also be welcoming back Bruno Fernandes, who has missed a number of games through suspension.

United’s games have generally seen goals this year, with the majority, 62.5%, having over 2.5 of them but it’s West Ham’s home form that really gives us an expectation of goals here. Six of West Ham’s eight games have had Over 2.5 goals but incredibly all four of their games at the London Stadium have hit that total. They’ve found the back of the net in every game, while their opponents have scored 12 goals in four games against them.

Noussair Mazraoui to commit 1+ fouls

After a Europa League appearance in which he played as N0.10 behind the front man, we’re surely going to see Noussair Mazraoui return to his normal position at fullback. That means he’s going to come up against either Jarod Bowen or Crysencio Summerville, both players who are direct, quick and dangerous.

Mazraoui leads Man Utd in fouls committed with 10 in eight games but when you break it down by minutes on the pitch, he’s been fouling an average of 1.6 times per 90 minutes played. Away from home, in a matchup against pacey widemen, he could come unstuck again.
