Aston Villa fans are gearing up for another Champions League night under the Villa Park lights as Bologna roll into town.
Villa have looked right at home on their Champions League debut in recent weeks with their 1-0 home win over Bayern Munich last month already entering into club folklore.
Emery will be keen to keep their momentum moving in a positive direction and the studious Spaniard will be looking to focus on defensive shape first and foremost.
Villa kept clean sheets against Bayern Munich at home, and on the road at Young Boys, with just one goal conceded in their last three games across all competitions. Bologna have also failed to score in their first two Champions League games of 2024/25.

Jhon Duran got the post-match plaudits as he came off the bench to score the winner against Bayern Munich. However, Emery is expected to stick with his policy of using the Colombian star as an impact substitute.
Ollie Watkins will lead the Villa attack as he aims for a first Champions League goal of his career. He already has five Premier League goals to his name so far in 2024/25 but he will be keen to get off the mark in Europe.
The Villa fans will be willing their No.9 on with the England striker scoring three goals in his last four home matches.
