Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened. No, not the international break. We are, of course, talking about the weekend’s Premier League action.
And it’s another bumper batch, this time with a little Monday night football cherry on the top as Nottingham Forest v Crystal Palace happens either side of the main event on the green screen. So, without further ado, here’s Joe Cole‘s esteemed view of the curtain closer for game week 8.

WHERE: The City Ground, Nottingham
TV: Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
This is a tricky one. When the league’s all done and dusted in May, I’ll be stunned if there are three points between these teams! They’re very evenly matched with very talented players on both sides.
Nottingham Forest have Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White. Palace have good footballers on either side, Eberechi Eze and Adam Wharton.
Palace probably need the points a bit more. After all the hope of last year, and I thought they were going to have a good season, I still think Palace will come good so I’m going to go with a 2-1 win for Palace.
I fancy Eddie Nketiah to be on the scoresheet. He needs to get going, and with his week off, he would have been focusing on this game.
To score Forest’s goal I’m going with Chris Wood. He’s a big man, a handful, an old-fashioned centre forward.
