Poland v Croatia
UEFA Nations League match at National Stadium, Warsaw
KO: 7:45pm
Robert Lewandowski to score
Tuesday night wraps up October’s edition of the UEFA Nations League and we could have cracker in Warsaw!
Poland welcome Croatia to the National Stadium as two of the oldest gunslingers in the game lead their teams in Robert Lewandowski and Luka Modric.
Lewandowski’s side lost 3-1 at home to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal in midweek as Croatia beat Scotland in Zagreb. A result pick is tricky, as before that loss to Ronaldo and Co, Poland were unbeaten in their previous four home matches.
A goal scorer picks looks a better call here, with Lewandowski already demanding his teammates get some crosses into him, and the Barcelona hitman has four goals in his last four home games for Poland.
Lithuania v Romania
UEFA Nations League match at the Darius and Girenas Stadium, Kaunas
KO: 7:45pm
Romania to win
Romania are continuing their momentum from reaching the last 16 at Euro 2024 this summer and they head to Lithuania in fine form.
The visitors have won three in a row, spread across the September and October Nations League windows, with nine goals scored and just one conceded.
In contrast, Lithuania have lost their last three, with no competitive win since March.
Northern Ireland v Bulgaria
UEFA Nations League match at Windsor Park, Belfast
KO: 7:45pm
Under 2.5 goals
Form between Northern Ireland and Bulgaria is very tight as they prepare to meet in Belfast. Michael O’Neill’s team have picked up four points from three games so far in the Nations League, with Bulgaria slightly better, on five.
Both sides have also struggled to score goals in recent matches, as Bulgaria’s winner against Northern Ireland last month is their only one in the competition so far, and O’Neill’s charges have managed just two goals.
Spain v Serbia
UEFA Nations League match at the Estadio Nuevo Arcangel, Cordoba
KO: 7:45pm
Alvaro Morata to score
Spain kicked off their Nations League campaign with a 0-0 draw in Serbia back in September, but they have followed that up with wins over Switzerland and Denmark, the latter coming last week.
Serbia sealed their first win in six against Switzerland in their opening October game, but Spain should be too strong here.
With Lamine Yamal already back in Barcelona due to injury, Spain could look to their captain for goals, as Alvaro Morata looks to build on his rate of just under one goal per two games for La Roja.
Switzerland v Denmark
UEFA Nations match at AFG Arena, St. Gallen
KO: 7:45pm
Under 2.5 goals
We round off Tuesday night’s acca with a trip to Switzerland as Denmark head to St. Gallen. The hosts have lost all three of their Nations League games so far and Denmark arrive on the back of defeat to Spain.
The form book favours Denmark, but the Swiss should make it tight, as they aim to force their way back on track.
Two of Switzerland’s last three matches have featured under 2.5 goals scored at full time with all three of Denmark’s falling under that barrier.
