International Football Accumulator - October 14

Friday’s Football acca tips

7:45pm – Bosnia & Herzegovina v Germany
Germany to win to nil

7:45pm – Hungary v Netherlands
Under 2.5 goals

7:45pm – Czechia v Albania
Czechia to win

7:45pm – Slovakia v Sweden
Viktor Gyokeres to score

7:45pm – Turkey v Montenegro
Turkey to win

Bosnia & Herzegovina v Germany

UEFA Nations League match at Stadion Bilino Polje, Bosnia & Herzegovina
KO: 7:45pm

Germany to win to nil

The first of our UEFA Nations League ties sees Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany travel to Bosnia for another step towards the quarter-finals. Die Mannschaft have taken four points from an available six in this year’s competition, leaving them top of League A Group 3.

Hosts Bosnia sit third in the group, winless after a 5-2 humbling from the Netherlands and a 0-0 draw against Hungary. 38-year-old Edin Dzeko still leads their line and will likely find it difficult against a side his nation has never beaten.

Their two goals against the Netherlands are their only ones they’ve got in their previous four games. Meanwhile, the Germans only conceded two in their last eight games.

Hungary v Netherlands

UEFA Nations League match at the Puskas Arena, Budapest
KO: 7:45pm

Under 2.5 goals

The other League A Group 3 game sees the Netherlands travel to Budapest to take on Hungary. Ronald Koeman’s side are second behind Germany only on goal difference, while the hosts are bottom on one point.

Hungary have suffered a slight fall from grace since maintaining their top-league status in the 2022/23 Nations League. Despite a late victory against Scotland, they crashed out of Euro 2024 at the group stage and Marco Rossi’s side only scored twice at the tournament and have drawn blanks in the following two games.

With players missing and the bigger game coming on Monday against Germany, expect the Oranje to get the job done with an eye to keeping something in the tank for a few days time.

Czechia v Albania

UEFA Nations League match at the epet Arena, Prague
KO: 7:45pm

Czechia to win

Both sides were beaten by group leaders Georgia last month and need a win to keep the hope of promotion to League A alive.

Czechia are on a 12-game scoring sequence, finding the net in every game since November 2023. Meanwhile Albania have won just two of their previous 14 away games.

The hosts’ firepower, led by Bundesliga forwards Patrick Schick and Adam Hozlek, should prove enough for the hosts to secure the three points and put them back in the hunt for the top spot of Group 1 in League B.

Slovakia v Sweden

UEFA Nations League match at the Štadión Tehelné pole, Bratislava
KO: 7:45pm

Viktor Gyokeres to score

Sweden travel to Slovakia looking to build momentum under new boss Jon Dahl Tomasson. The Dane led the visitors to two consecutive Nations League wins in the last international break after only one win in his opening four friendlies.

Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres bring firepower to the side with the latter scoring a brace in their 3-0 win over Estonia last time out. The goals took his tally to 14 in 12 this season, and he is in a prime position to add to it here.

Slovakia are without first-choice goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and four regular starters. So, despite a decent defensive record, they will struggle to keep their opponents out.

Turkey v Montenegro

UEFA Nations match at Samsun Yeni 19 Mayıs Stadyumu, Samsun
KO: 7:45pm

Turkey to win

The other two teams in Wales’ group meet in Turkey, with visitors Montenegro looking to earn their first point of the campaign.

They will struggle to find it against the group leaders, who have taken four points from the first two games. The hosts have never lost to these opponents in four meetings, winning their most recent encounter 2-1.

Montenegro are in a horrific run of form. They began 2024 with two wins but have since suffered four consecutive defeats. Considering both teams’ recent form and record against each other, Turkey should enjoy another victory.
