This is what the UEFA Nations League is all about! Smaller nations getting a chance to actually try and win a game instead of being a Wikipedia statistic for the big boys.
Gibraltar have been one of the main benefactors of the competition in recent years and they secured a wild 2-2 draw with Lichtenstein in September.
A win at this level is rare, but they have an edge over San Marino, with two unbeaten games against them in their short history as a UEFA member. They are incredibly also unbeaten in their last four games in Gibraltar.
Israel v France

France take on Israel in Hungary with Kylian Mbappe staying back home in Madrid. Didier Deschamps confirmed he gave his captain the month off amid concerns over an injury.
That appeared to be a bit of a ruse as Mbappe then started Real Madrid’s final game before the international window with Monsieur Deschamps left frustrated.
However, with no Mbappe or the recently internationally-retired Antoine Griezmann, France are without their captain, vice captain and two main goal sources.
PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani will be looking to step forward and add to the four international goals he has already scored in 2024.
Austria v Kazakhstan

Austria have endured a tricky start to their Nations League campaign on the back of a last 16 exit at Euro 2024. Two away games only yielded a draw in draw in Slovenia, and defeat in Norway, with Kazakhstan also only picking up a single point in September’s window.
The hosts should probably edge out a morale-boosting win, but they may be made to work for it, with Kazakhstan scoring in three of their last four away games and Austria have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine outings.
Italy v Belgium

Italy to win
This is the glamour tie on Thursday’s Nations League list as Italy host Belgium in Rome. Both squads are without some big names but the lack of Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku looks huge for Belgium.
Italy eased to a pair of eye-catching wins in September, beating Israel, and securing an impressive 3-1 victory in Paris, as Belgium then lost to a furious France.
The Italians have won all six of their games on home soil in 2024 and they should breeze past a weakened Belgium.
Norway v Slovenia

Erling Haaland to score
Martin Odegaard’s injury absence means Erling Haaland will wear the Norway captain’s armband for the first time against Slovenia in Oslo.
The Manchester City star has been his usual ridiculous self in front of goal at club level this season with 11 goals in 10 games for Pep Guardiola’s team.
He also has five goals in his last four matches for Norway, and the 24-year-old will have history on his mind, as he is currently just two goals away from breaking the Norway all-time goal scoring record held since 1937!
