Croatia v Scotland Tips: Modric to fire in Joe Cole’s 11/1 Bet Builder

Joe is backing Modric to mastermind a Croatia win over Scotland.

Joe Cole - Croatia v Scotland

Paddy’s ambassador Joe Cole is on international duty this week as Scotland head off to Croatia.

Scotland lost both of their games in the September window, with defeat to Poland in Glasgow and a loss on the road in Portugal, and Joe is worried for Steve Clarke’s charges in his Croatia v Scotland betting tips on Saturday in the Nations League.

Both teams to score: No
Luka Modric to score

WHEN: Saturday 12th of October, 5.00pm
WHERE: Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb
TV: Viaplay

This looks like it will be a tough game for Scotland. I was really disappointed for them in the Euros, I know they were in a tough group, but I felt they didn’t really connect with the fans in how they wanted to play.

However, despite that, they have Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour both going well over in Italy, and that’s two Scotland midfielders playing for a top European club in Napoli.

Croatia are going through a period where they are looking to reboot but they do have some good young players starting to come through.

It’s a really tough place to go for Scotland, so I’m going for a Croatia win. I think Scotland will put in an honourable performance but I don’t think they’ll score.

I’m also going for an old head to get on the scoresheet in Luka Modric, maybe from the penalty spot.

Croatia to beat Scotland is my NAP of the week and I’m also going for a 2-0 for the hosts.
