With 56 England caps to his name, Paddy ambassador Joe Cole is no stranger to the rigors of international football and he’s on hand to take a look at this England v Greece game on Thursday in the Nations League.
Coley always answers when the Three Lions call and this break is no different. So, will England hammer Greece or might this be a little more complicated than many think? Here’s Joe’s verdict.

This should be a comfortable win for England. I’ve been so impressed with Lee Carsley, Ashley Cole and Joleon Lescott.
Obviously I know Joleon and Ashley really well but Lee, after watching his Under 21 team, I think he’s absolutely top, top draw. I love the way his teams play, I love the way he’s brought in Angel Gomes.
We’ve been crying out for that player, someone who can handle the ball like that. He’s been absolutely brilliant so I can’t see anything other than a comfortable England victory.
The lads playing for England, the look like the shackles are off and they’re happy. They’re playing well so I think England (-2) is a good bet. I don’t fancy Greece to score but that’s where England need to get better, in defence.
The domination of possession for England will be too much for Greece. Greece might get a couple of chances but, ultimately, I think England will keep it locked down at the back.
