Burnley to win

Wayne Rooney takes his Plymouth Argyle side to Burnley on Tuesday night on the back of a superb 3-1 home win over Luton Town at the weekend.

Rooney was in the stands as his old side Man United lost to Tottenham on Sunday and he is hanging around in the North West for the short hop up to Turf Moor.

The Clarets battled out a 0-0 stalemate at Oxford over the weekend, but they are unbeaten at home so far this season, and Rooney’s charges are yet to win on the road in 2024/25.

Cardiff City v Millwall

EFL Championship match at the Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff
TV: Sky Sports+
KO: 7:45pm

Under 2.5 goals

Millwall’s midweek trip to Cardiff sounds like something from Danny Dyer’s daydreams as the struggling Welsh side look drag themselves off the bottom of the table.

Cardiff are one of two Championship teams yet to win a league game this season, but they have made things a little tricky for teams in the Welsh capital, ahead of hosting Millwall.

All three of their home league games have ended in 2-0 losses in 2024/25 and Millwall have only scored one goal in their last two away matches.

Luton Town v Oxford United

EFL Championship match at Kenilworth Road, Luton
TV: Sky Sports+
KO: 7:45pm

Both teams to score: Yes

Luton’s momentum hit a block with defeat at Plymouth, following successive wins, and Oxford were tied against Burnley. However, their respective confidence should not take too much of a hit, as they meet in midweek.

Overall Luton have started to pick up, with the Hatters scoring in their last four league outings, and Oxford have found the net in three of their last four – so there could be a few goals at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night!

Norwich City v Leeds United

FL Championship match at Carrow Road, Norwich
TV: Sky Sports+
KO: 7:45pm

Borja Sainz to score

Old foes Norwich City and Leeds United face off on the back of both winning their last two games. The Canaries scored seven across those matches with Leeds netting five.

There looks to be a ‘goals guarantee’ at Carrow Road and Borja Sainz is the man in form for Norwich with four goals in those two, including a hat trick in 3-2 weekend win at Derby County.

Sunderland v Derby County

EFL Championship match at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland
TV: Sky Sports+
KO: 7:45pm

Under 2.5 goals

The final game on this acca could be a slow burner as Derby head to Sunderland. The pair lost their weekend games with Sunderland going down at Watford and Derby edged out by a Sainz-inspired Norwich.

Sunderland’s last two home games ended in 1-0 wins for the Black Cats, and they are favourites to sneak a win, but Derby have only managed one goal in their last two away matches.
