Parma v Cagliari – Parma and over 1.5 goals

We kick off Monday night’s action in Italy where 14th-placed Parma host rock-bottom Cagliari. It’s obviously been a pretty low key start for both with a solitary win between them, Parma’s shock triumph over Milan back in August.
A potential play here is to back goals as the hosts have seen plenty up to now, with 17 in five combined for and against, an average of 3.4 per game. The problem is that Cagliari have scored only once this season while conceding eight.
While Parma can’t keep them out, Cagliari just can’t score which might mean this game has a below-average goal return for the home side. I fancy them to take the points and to score a couple as well so Parma to win and over 1.5 goals in the game looks good.
Bournemouth v Southampton – Semenyo score or assist

Antoine Semenyo has started the season well for Bournemouth, who came into the weekend in 13th with a win, two draws and two defeats. Southampton were second bottom with just one point from five matches.
He’s got two goals and an assist in five appearances for the Cherries but has drawn a blank in their last two games, the tough meetings with Chelsea and Liverpool. The Saints have conceded nine goals in five games and the hosts will really fancy their chances of winning this south-coast derby in front of their own fans.
Given how the away side play there’s a number of ways Semenyo can hurt them. He could nick it off the defenders or hit them on the break if they work their way up the pitch. Either way, Semenyo is a good price to score one or set one up.
8pm: Villarreal v Las Palmas – Villarreal & BTTS? Yes

We finish in Spain with Villarreal v Las Palmas. The hosts are going great guns so far in La Liga and headed into the weekend in 5th with 14 points from seven games and just the one defeat to their name, a 5-1 hammering by Barcelona.
Las Palmas are yet to taste victory this season and have three draws and four losses to their name. Goals is the way to go here and the Yellow Submarine have scored and conceded 14 apiece in just 7 games, a whopping average of 4 a game.
Las Palmas have been a good watch as well with 8 scored and 13 conceded, an average of 3 per match. Villarreal should win this and we’re getting a great price on them to triumph with both team scoring in the game.
