Friday’s acca kicks off in Dortmund as Nuri Sahin’s team gear up for a midweek UEFA Champions League showdown with Celtic by hosting Bochum.
Sahin stepped into the top job at Signal Iduna Park over the summer, and the former Turkish international had secured a solid start, prior to last weekend’s 5-1 thumping at Stuttgart.
That was his first defeat across all competitions, including two comfortable home wins, so there is little value in a straight Dortmund victory here.
Sahin’s charges like to score goals, scoring in five out of six games so far in 2024/25, with an evenish spread either side of break at six first half goals and eight after the restart.
AC Milan v Lecce

AC Milan to win and over 2.5 goals
AC Milan secured the most dramatic of derby wins over Inter Milan last weekend via Matteo Gabbia’s last-gasp header. That means Paulo Fonseca’s team host Lecce on a high on Friday night and Liverpool are the only team to beat them at home this season.
They have scored in all three home games in 2024/25, and scored twice to beat Inter, although the latter were technically the San Siro home time in that one.
All four games at the San Siro this season (derby included) have featured over 2.5 goals scored between both teams.
Real Valladolid v Mallorca

We hop across to Spain to start the 8pm kickoffs as Real Valladolid host Mallorca. The home team are struggling, after slipping to a late midweek loss away at Sevilla, with no win since the opening weekend of the season.
However, on home soil, they are a tough nut to crack, with no goals conceded in three games at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla including successive 0-0 draws.
Mallorca’s best form has come on the mainland so far this season, with two wins from three, but they have only scored three goals across those matches.
Shamrock Rovers v St. Pat’s Athletic

The coming weeks will be a balancing act for Stephen Bradley and Shamrock Rovers as they see out the domestic season and prepare for their UEFA Conference League campaign.
Rovers are still in with a chance of pushing Derry City and Shelbourne in the title race, but ensuring a top three spot is a priority, as the season moves into its final straight.
They are unbeaten in their last five home league games, including back-to-back wins in Tallaght, and they will be confident of netting a few goals against a St. Pat’s side who have not kept a clean sheet in their last three away league games.

A Friday night capped off in Paris, not a bad way to round things off, eh? PSG head to Arsenal in midweek Champions League action with Luis Enrique’s side unbeaten this season across all competitions, including five wins and a draw.
A home win looks fairly assured here, but the goal scorer market catches the eye, with Ousmane Dembele on fire this season.
The France international is not expected to be rested for Arsenal, with three goals in his last three appearances, and he scored twice in the league game before their Champions League opener against Girona.
